Why? How? If? What?

I remember back to when I was about 6 or 7, and asked my mum, "How was I born?" She answered with, "I went to the toilet, and out you came." There was one question I asked after hearing a couple of 'Big Kids' back in Juniour Primary say something about a testicle. I ran home screaming to my mother, "MUM, WHAT'S A TESTICLE?" She responded with "Ask your Father" And so I did. "DADDY, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS A TESTICLE?" He told me alright.

So, moving onwards, this thread is basiclly about the questions we've asked out parents and the silly answers they gave ( probably because they don't know or are too embarassed to say), or if you have kids, the questions they asked YOU.

You know, your mom might not have been lying to you about going to the toilet and you popping out. See: the award winning American TV series "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant."

"I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant."

I randomly surfed to that show once. Once was enough. It boggles the mind.

I'm sure I asked questions of my parents, but since I was 5 or so, I don't remember what they were. I never asked them any birds & bees questions however...they were a little too uptight for that & I didn't want to deal with their hemming & hawing and besides, between books, school, friends and media I got all the info any kid could need on my own, even before the internet. ;)

But I'm sure I asked them things like 'why is the sky blue' over and over again.

Questions I got from my daughter when she was 10 "Dad, do boys really think ?"
Question I got from my daughter when she was 12 "Dad, I am starting a small book on boys. With your experience, can you tell me how to handle boys ?"
Question I got yesterday from my daughter as she is near 14 "Dad, how to know a boy is interested by another girl ?"

"Vai do the shee run away when I call them?"

Pa then told me that people and them didn't get along for a looong time, just like I didn't with that one boy in school, and thus the question was answered for me. And then he continued painting miniatures, as usual.
Funny, how we can remember one moment very clearly, yet don't know at all what happened after that.

I remember in primary school a girl was caught with her hands down another boys pants (that's underwear over here). When I got home I asked my Mum why she'd want to do that, and she shrugged and said "maybe her hands were cold".
