Why no hype for this awesome game?

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 5:03 pm

I am having a hard time understanding why this game is not getting the same damn attention of other games that are no where near as good ( i wont list any as to avoid a flame-a-thon ). Go on websites like ign or gamespot and they have dike on this game compared to other games and i think its B.S. Whats up with this or am i nuts or something , i just think this great game needs to be known far more , when i preordered this game the guys at gamestop had no idea what game this was.

It might just be Gamestop, our local Gamestop doesn't have a single Crysis 2 poster up at all.

I'm glad there isn't more hype. I don't want a game I like this popular. If I say I like MW2, everybody else does too, it isn't special. If I say I like the crysis series, nobody else has played it. And I like it that way, I don't like it when I like the same **** as everybody else. Just my personal opinion though.

I want to see Killzone 3 and Crysis 2 ads on TV dammit.

I'm pretty sure if they put those video game trailers up on espn commercials they would sell more too. I really like the killzone story trailer.

Rather it is a good idea, but current mainstream thick heads would rather deny the innovation Crytek so hard workingly brought to the table, and instead stick to their CoD and Halo franchises like a security blanket.

I don't know, everyone saying a game is sorta **** makes it that much better on release.

Inb4 MW2, BlackOps, etc.

Thing I don′t get is all the attention that Homefront has been getting despite it looking like a fairly generic CoD clone. (I haven′t actually played the game, not saying it svcks, just saying its been marketed to a CoD audience.)

The SP is completly like CoD gameplay. Total corridor shooter. You go down a street, shoot some guys, your ally moves something so you can go to the next area- repeat. The MP is like Battlefield and Counterstrike. Pretty fun, but nothing Battlefield can't do better. The story is really good though.

Its such a shame games like this are so widely recieved by critics and ultra-casual gamers.

Too much hype and it will end up like Modern Warfare 2. So much expectation and so little stuff to do. It shouldn't work like that, if you ask me.

I'm not as hyped because I want Crysis 2 to beat my current level of expectation. It's medium to low, since I've been pretty busy with things in my personal life. So far though, things look good. :)

i agree i was wondering about the same thing, i watched a gaming TV show, they introduced tons of new stuff ... but not even a word about crysis2

is really weird

i mean every one is talking about home front and even bf3 (witch is still ages away) , why not crysis2 witch is nearly here ?!?

in my opinion crysis is #1 in visual realism, should be #1 subject now everywhere, not homefront with is great but common.. its crysis the game any other shooter just follows around as far as visual quality

its weird because people i show the game they all know amount COD and similar mass produced stuff, never even heard about crysis

maybe it would not hurt to put up a few comercials
