I've had several characters get married, and most of them live at Lakeview Manor, but none of my spouses have gotten kidnapped. Now, I have just the small house, and no kids, no steward, no housecarl. It's just me, Muiri, and Muiri's gratitude for taking care of her... problem. I'll be gone for weeks at a time, but she's always safe and sound. Is there anything else I should do or is it completely random? If it matters, I'm level 32 right now, no Civil War, haven't gone to High Hrothgar yet, haven't joined Companions or Thieves Guild, on Whispers in the Dark for Dark Brotherhood. Haven't started Dawnguard or Dragonborn quests.

I know that feel, mine is also never kidnapped.
