Why just Level 30?

So, why can't go beyond level 30 in Fallout 3?

Why can't we keep taking in XP and why do we need a level cap?

New Vegas allows us to go to level 50, which was way better. But why even a level limit at all?

Skyrim did away with this after the 1.9 update although the level in Skyrim at the time was 81 which was max.

So why can't we go beyond level 30?

Levels never really concern me in either TES or Fallout. I'm ok with the cap. Keeps myself from becoming to over powered.

Mainly because by the time you are level 30, you are maxed out in all your skills, or close to it. So, no reason to level beyond this.

If it really bothers you just use the console to set your character level to 26 (or whatever) when you are at 30 and you will still get points. However, you may get an issue on the leveling screen where you can't advance because you can't assign all the skill points.

player.setlevel 26

It was originally level 20 by which point your already a neigh unstoppable walking god Broken Steel added ten more levels. I thought the additional levels in New Vegas beyond thirty were excessive and so did a lot of other people which is why they added a trait to cap it at thirty. Why do you need to continue to level up?

He's on the ps3

I don't know. I always get excited when my character bumps up another level. I'm weird like that. I guess I feel accomplished or something. But you're right, 50 does seem like a lot. It got harder in Fallout 3 to get the rest of those levels because there aren't a lot of quests in Fallout 3. By the time you get through the main quest line and have done some of the side quests and other dlc's, you're at least lvl 25 or 26.
