Why is it laggy HELP PLease!

Post » Fri Mar 08, 2013 4:50 am

i have a gtx460 overclocked and i7 2600k pc 8gb ram , etc everything is good. This computer runs every game perfectly but when i try playing crysis 3 it lags even on low settings. It juts feel unplayable no matter what settings i choose. I had no problems with crysis 2 and ran it on high but this one wont even run on the lowest settings without being very laggy.

Anyone know why this is happening can i fix this? i just wasted 70 bucks on an unplayble game....

I have the similar specs than you do, I do have a better graphics card though, and can only run this game at Low settings.

gtx 460 ain't gonna pull it off. If you have low FPS even on low to medium then it's problem with GPU... It can't handle stuff and yes that card is quite old and inefficient. Start saving money for gtx 660 Ti or gtx 670 and use your gtx 460 for physX processing or sell it tho i doubt it that you will sell it for good amount of money...
You have quite quite powerful CPU there m8 threat yourself nice with solid GPU like GTX 660 Ti or 670... OR if you have money purchase 680!
If you're having input lag and you're at 40-50 fps on low it might be the games fault as i've played open beta as well and had strange input lag even tho it was showing 60-80 fps. People pvssyr that it isn't fixed. :/

Well I have a gtx 560 ti o/c to 999mhz on the core and I can run sp on very high with no aa at 1680x1050 with 30+fps. It never dips below 30. Now mp on the other hand I have to run on hihg to maintain 30+. I have a q6600 at 3ghz and 4gb of ram. His card is a little slow but if I was him I would try re installing your drivers and see if that fixes it. The 316 driver helped out my performance a bunch. This is reminding me of the good ole days of crysis 1. lol
