You're not passive-aggressive because you stand up for your points, you're passive-aggressive for side-stepping the objection to your post in my point (their disappointment is not YOUR problem) so that you could go and express offense at something tangential.

Lemme be more clear: You're not the fun police. You don't get to tell people how to express their hype. If it annoys you, too bad. The pip boy threads annoy me, I don't make threads asking people to stop (though I really do think a stickied thread would be good) or suggesting they complain about something I agree with more. If you don't like the title or premise of a thread don't contribute/read it. Simple, no?

The way I see it, you have two options in this case. You can learn to filter it out and deal with the annoyance that way. Or you could take a break from the forums for a while until a gameplay trailer comes out or something, because these theory threads and other "annoyances" will be here regardless of whether or not you are present. Heck, I was gone from the forums for a few years until the announcement trailer for FO4 came out.

lol, this thread is hilarious.

Anyway, I love crackpot speculation theory threads. As someone else already posted, hype-sustaining.

It's because we have no new information and are becoming bored. Wild speculation is just a way we keep ourselves entertained until more details are released. By and large most of the crap we come up with won't be even close to true, if you need evidence of this go check out the theories people came up with when Skyrim was announced. People were originally thinking the dragonborn was going to be an npc that we were going to meet in game, all because Bethesda used a placeholder character. It's all in good fun so I don't see a problem, if anything it will be interesting to see just how close we get come release day.

Making lunatic assumptions based on somethng half-seen in the corner of a screenshot, and spinning it up into "OMG THE GAME IS RUINED"..... is what these forums are all about.

Because everyone is chomping at the bit for release day. Until the developers throw in some new little snippets of news or gameplay for us to tear into, almost the entire forums are just licking the walls.

Wouldn't it be easier to just not open threads that don't interest you instead of asking other interested parties to shut up? For my part, I'm enjoying the energy and enthusiasm surrounding the game. Hell, I'm even enjoying perhaps a wee bit of schadenfreude at the expense of a small subset of Fallout purists who have never forgiven Bethesda for acquiring the franchise and transforming it into a Bethesda style open world game series.

When in doubt the most obvious answer is mist likely right, but theorizing is fun.

Because there's no real information.

But it is fun to see what people can come up with, and after release see how wrong or correct they were

This is what forums are all about.
If it's really annoying you, take a break from the forum.

But this is the type of nonsense that gets threads closed.
