Seriously who had that stick wedged deep enough that they'd patch the bullet glitch...

So... there was glitch? And it got patched?

Not seeing the problem here.

there a plenty of other things that need fixing that affects everyone more that the cap glitch...that is the problem...the cap ditch does not affect anyone nor does what kind of toilet paper you choose to use affects me or anyone else.

If it doesn't affect you, why are you complaining about it being fixed?

They fixed it because it was broken. Not because they had some personal vendetta against you or something.

If nothing else the game breaking bugs should always take precedence over petty exploits...not seeing that kind of prioritization here.

LMAO I swear they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Have bugs whine, [censored] and moan. Fix bugs, whine, [censored] and moan

I think they should make the game as they intended it to be. Their game. If they didn't want the glitch there they certainly have every right to fix it.

As far as why fix it, maybe it was part of a bigger problem. Maybe it was a easy fix so they just go it out of the way. Who know but it's not our place to even ask.

Glitches are bugs as far as developers are concerned. So of course they will fix it.

Think his complaint is about prioritization: going after an easy-to-patch exploit that makes the game marginally easier (tons of weightless ammo, money is no issue ever), as opposed to tackling the bugs that actually negatively impact gameplay.

Several developers work on bugfixing. While certain bugs have high priority (the game-braking ones, take more time and testing to be removed), most of them are equal so they are often fixed in random or alphabetical order. Nobody is crazy enough to make a large bug list and then sort it via priority.

The funny part is some needed that cap glitch. Caps overall are kinda meaningless this time around.

My biggest issue is that it was the only thing console players had comparable to console commands and they nixed it. So yet again PC has regained its reign as exploit central. Meanwhile they could fix the quests properly and now im stuck limbo unable to initiate liberty reprimed or complete outside the wire so i can do blind betrayal. So while something so trivial got nixed some important is set aside.

As purchasers we have every right to ask about things pertaining to the product. At least we are asking here and not bugging customer service. Honestly I couldn't care less if the bullet exploit is fixed, I would just like to hear word that they are close to fixing more game breaking bugs and such.

WHen they fix something like this but leave in bugs that actually break your game by making it unplayable you have to wonder what they are thinking.

Yeah. Some bugs can be incredibly easy to fix, just a couple lines of code to fix a tiny oversight, it can be done in 2 minutes. I imagine the cap exploit is something like that. Having looking into how it is done I am think the variable that expresses the amount of ammo isn't being handled properly when it reaches zero, which messes up with the code when you start manipulating it by buying and selling the ammo after you force it to zero. A tiny oversight on whoever came up with that snippet of code.

Others, can be massive problems with the programming that can take days or weeks to find what the problem is and then go about fixing. I am sure they are trying to fix all known bugs but obviously some will get done before others.

The game performs worse with the new patch and they didn't fix any of the bugs that were actually broken, from people complaining it sounds like they just put out a patch to catch/ stop cheaters (in a single player game). Fitting in an environment where they sell you half a game and then charge you for content DLC that was made long before the game came out. In a game this size with so few quests they planned on selling you the quests one piece at a time. Preplanned surprise add ons. Preston is still bugged and only after downloading the patch did my game crash. it had been doing fine except preston, I was hesitant to download it and was tempted to turn off wifi. Worst of all is i got a glitch where one of freaking prestons quests is now stuck completed on my quest log, AFTER the patch. Thats the type of things patches are supposed to fix. Not things players do on purpose to try and make something happen. Stop you from duplicating stimpacks but leave the ready memory leaking all over my hard drive.

http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/Unofficial%20Skyrim%20Patch%20Version%20History.html.

Bethesda doesn't fix bugs. We will get a dozen or so patches, each with 10-15 fixes, and that will be the end of it. That is how it has been with every Bethesda game to date. It would be insane to think it will be different for Fallout 4.

Since they do so very little in maintaining their products, one has to wonder why they would fix a small issue like the one the OP mentions over one of the larger issues many players are currently suffering from. Hell, there's a thread right here on the forum that lists bugs and issues with the game, links to their report(s), and highlights them based on how severe they are.

It's a low hanging fruit. It was easy to for them to duplicate and fix so they fixed it.

If a bug or glitch has a quick, easy fix, why should they wait to fix them?

That caps glitch kept me settlement building, thus keeping me interested in the game.

Now I'm kinda...meh until the DLC releases.
