you travel from one DLC to another and back again so why not just call them maps?

This is a stupid question.

They call it DLC (downloadable content) because it's not all just a single map. There's places you can go into, right? Those are completely differential in terms of generation of the bytes of data within the "map." If DLC was classified into a literal and single map, everyone would be wasting their money because it would be a useless investment.

And for the Legion, there are ghoulified persons in Lonesome Road that used to be affiliated with the faction.

Because to all of us that have played rpg's and other games before COD they have always been known as DLC's they are "downloadable content". Also each of the dlc's have their own storylines, from a bank-vault to meeting Ulysses. This thread is a tad bit pointless and you should make efforts not to post random things like this in the future, most other people would reply rudely.

You have GOT to be kidding me...This was already being discussed in another thread, that YOU started. So you start another one? I'm convinced that you are too young to be playing the game let alone posting in this forum.

Because you go to an online store and download the content for the game.

And the content you download in more than a new map. It contains new items, new enemies, new quests, new game mechanics. But I undestand where you're coming from. "Maps" are what you are used to calling any kind of DLC. Asking you to call them anything else takes you outside of your confort zone. Hopefully with our help, you can learn something new and become confortable with it.
