Why need Flame spell tomes in the game?

Post » Sat Aug 17, 2013 9:52 pm

So it's not a book you can actually read.

Why are you acting like "it's either we have object on table or better quests"? Like you believe that is the only option. You mentioned Dragon Age and how it had no moveable objects. Now imagine the same game, but with moveable objects. What's the problem?

Qis, do you post anything OTHER than complaints?

and..

hah....haha.. hahaha!

I am sorry, Dragonage is not an old game... not even close.... NWN2, that COULD be considered an old game.... Kings Quest, now THAT is an old game.... Might and Magic, THATs an old game.... Zork is an OLD game (anyone else remember Zork?)

Dragon Age is a fairly new game... that fact you call it an old game makes me think you weren't around when games that ARE Old were created...

It just vanishes from your inventory when you learn the spell. There's nothing to read, unlike skill books.

They are there too because that spell would be in the world if it were real. Just because the player already knows it doesn't mean every beginner mage knows it.

Of course, there is no guarantee but with a lot of times and resources have been saved, i think the devs could think of many things instead of focusing on making those items, and so could lead to better story, better dialogues, better NPCs characters, better main quest plots, better guild plots, better many things...

You can likely blame 11-11-11.

removing Clutter would not make other aspects better, especially since the team doing the 3D Models are not the same guys writing the story, or the same guys recording Dialogue..
sure when you do a project at your school I am sure the teacher makes you do it by yourself, but game production does not work that way..

the group making the 3D Models are not the same guys writing the story, not the same guys writing or recording Dialogue, not the guys programming aspects of the game...
their job is to make the 3D Models, thats it.. and assigning physics to an object is not hard at all...

saying "don't make clutter objects" would in no way imrpove other aspects of the game, it would just make the game feel more empty.

I don't really blame 11.11.11, they can do 11.11.11 if a lot of time and resources being saved by removing those useless to game-play items

haha, seriously man, do your research...

1) the guys who did the Models are separate from the guys doing the rest of the game.. not making clutter would have no bearing on the rest of the game, as 3D models are done by separate people then writing and programming..

2) How long do you think it takes to make a 3D model of a plate? assuming the operson making it knows what they are doing, a few hours tops.

you are likely gonna just ignore this post but seriously, having no clutter objects would not make other aspects better as those aspects are created by separate people..

Actually I do a little bit of 3D modeling myself, and a plate takes roughly 10 minutes to create. A fairly detailed plate at that.

Just remove those things...we can never place a plate properly on a table, the physic is bad and a waste of resource... and it break immersion too.... we also take them all and sell them to any vendors...take items from the vendor then sell them to that vendor

Who knows, maybe some people don't like the fact they start with something with no effort in getting it thus finding it more appropriate to either purchase it or find it in a dungeon. But still, it shouts "I'M USELESS" from a mile.

There have always been clutter items in elder scrolls games. Many players, myself included, feel it adds to the atmosphere of the game world. If you don't like them, don't interact with them.

There shouldn't have been any animations. The characters should just be squares that move around the screen. When you attack it should just be a text message saying "You've attacked!". This would save resources and make better quests.

They can do tree models that moving when the wind blows...leaf that fall on summer...and snow man, there is no snow man in the game and we can't make snow man

They can do many other things or just take a vacation, what important is time and resurce, with the time saved, other department can add many things in the game
