Read http://www.imperial-library.info/content/cosmology, your eyeballs will bleed too. :tes:

Well they didn't just bleed, I'm blind. The fact that I'm spelling all this is a miraculous miracle of Talos.

It's for the final Thieves Guild quest, you have to steal it.

Big moons make for huge tides. Probably why most of Winterhold got washed away. ;)

Now you understand why the Elder Scrolls tend to do that to the people who read them. :turned:

Earths moon use to appear that big, but it moves 3 inches away every year, so over millions of years it appeared smaller. That might be the case? Or it's just frigging huge.
I have.

Big Masser

Looks like it's going to break through the atmosphere and crash in to Nirn.

What do you mean this is no mod?

As for using one(If you are on PC that is.) well in case of the mod i linked to, it is only an esp. So you only need to choose one of the esps inside the archive and place it in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data\ folder. By the way i use the Skyrim Moon Size x2.0.esp. :)

The moons and planets aren't actually balls of matter floating in space, but the representations that are all a mortal mind can cope with of infinite gods in various states of death/separation from their aetherial natures. Only makes sense (in Mundus anyway) that what a mortal can sense of the dead Shor appears bigger from Skyrim.

Wow. That's all I have to say.

I know that much. Now that I recall didn't a book or something detail the moons' history? Or am I just "misremembering"?

The moons are the body of Lorkhan, who was killed by the other gods at Convention.
The large one is called Masser, and the small one Secunda.
Cyrus the Redguard says the geology and climate of Masser remind him of Yokuda, or Morrowind.

I remember it being smaller in oblivion but i'm sure in the universe of the elder scrolls physics probably differs from our universe explaining how a planet size moon is in orbit around a planet which would be very unlikely due to its size not being larger in medium to high percentage to that of the moon but technically its not impossible but it would affect the living organisms more then is depicted in the elder scrolls.

Totally off topic sort of but this reminds me about how bad the time lapse transitions are.. every 10 seconds it jumps vs a gradual rotation even Minecraft has achieved.

Speaking of moons, is there an ingame book that tells more about the "Void Nights"?

The Lunar Lorkhan is still in Skyrim i think, that explains a bit about the moons.

Personally i think they are just Lorkhans balls and they swell with each passing era until they reach critical mass and explode which leads to the big bang hence ending the tes universe and starting our own.
