Because they've played the originals and loved them. Or they were around with the originals and still like them. They also like to have lore upheld.

Would I be considered a dinosaur even though I bought F1,2 and Tactics 3 months ago and have just started playing F1 yesterday and have been loving every single minute of it?

It doesn't matter what you played first or how old you are, hell, I'm probably younger than you.

And those who have AMMO UP! only have it because they are too afraid to put Talon Company in large red font.

Enough all of you! None of you have reached the status worthy of putting the motto of the greatest fighting force assemble post war in your signature.

Damn. I knew it would come down to this! Anyways, I took a solemn pledge to never touch Fallout 2 until I completed my business in Fallout 1. For linearity's sake.

I always wondered something. According to Ron Perlman, "War. War never changes." If this were to be the case, why can't peace ever come up with a solution? I mean, it's an enemy that doesn't change after all!

I know what you mean, nobody has the Brotherhood of Steel's motto in their signature.

It's all forum egotism, nothing more. A way to circumvent the 'No forum fanclub threads' rule instituted a while back.

Now, Martyr, I expected better from you, you know that isn't true, we're hardly egotistic, defensive, but not egotistic, that hints at offensives, while we are purely defensive.

True, but does one REALLY need to have the faction/fan club they support in their signature? Not at all, despite whatever fancy wallpaper we plaster on our reasoning for doing it, it all boils down to ego, that want to say 'I'm a believer/member of (Subject in question) and I want people to see that I do/am'
