Why do people like the Greenworld mod so much?

I think it looks awful personally. I prefer Vanilla when I actually do play on the PC (I normally stick with a 360 for better frame rate)

This should be in the mod section.

Anyways, yeah, I prefer the vanilla world.

Is Greenworld a mod that makes it all pre-war and stuff with trees and grass? If it is I just think that kills the whole point of the game. If you like that so much Bethesda made something called Oasis, and the name is pretty self explanatory.

So, you don't like Greenworld? I fail to see a reason to create a thread about it, especially with an insulting comment like "...it's awful...". Alot of people don't think it's awful, and guess what? We don't care that you do. Try constructive criticism for a change.

Why do you think there are so many mods? It's because people have so many different tastes. I love mods because they allow me to make Fallout a much more enjoyable RPG.

But I tend to agree with you, as Greenworld just makes the game feel wrong to me, as I want the wasteland to actually look and feel like a wasteland. I am however using Fellout, mostly because I hated the green lighting. I'm also using http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3926, which adds foliage that actually fits [It was made by the creator of Evergreen.]

Wow- I hadn't seen this mod until I read this post. I think it looks pretty awesome, personally. It' been 200 years, after all-- if *people* can still survive, there should be some plant life.

I think the greenery gives the thing a creepier look, somehow. Like the world's been reclaimed by nature. Eery.

I thought I like vanilla better, but the Greenerworld keeps it very Wastelandish feeling. There really is no immersion hit, because a lot of the landscape is still desolate. It just sticks foliage in at opportune moments (sorry, Pirates of the Carribean is on :)), like around the Jefferson Memorial. It actually adds to the feel, because it makes it seem like the city is overgrown and devoid of life. Try it for a little bit, and uninstall if you don't like it. That's what I did, before I reverted back. :)

Scientifically speaking 200 years after a nuclear holocaust the earth would have taken over our cities etc. Mother nature would reign supreme. There would be no radioactive water etc. Anyone see that Discovery channel movie about what would happens if there were no humans? It goes through what would happen if every nuke, chemical weapon, etc. went off and no humans survived. What would happen in the years to come. So maybe those who likes these mods are realism folks.

The OP, while entitled to his or her opinion, does nothing in the way of offering constructive criticism. :stare: I've downloaded many mods for MW, OB and FO3, and if they weren't what I wanted, or didn't turn out to be what I was expecting, I assumed that was due to my subjective opinion. Not the fault of the mod-maker.
