Why do people think the BOS will kill non-ferals (part 2)

Post » Fri Jan 29, 2016 6:28 am

Previous thread here:http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1585094-where-are-people-getting-the-idea-that-the-bos-wants/#entry24880534

So let's continue the discussion from before. Most of the BOS hate answers I've gotten seem to be more based on biased beliefs than actual facts.

As much as I agree with the subject, did we really need a sequel? By the end the last one felt like it was just going in circles.

Well yes, its like the belief that the BOS hoards all technology when their interest is in military technology (with associated powers sources) and they are frankly uninterested in most other technology (and yes the ability to replace anybody with a doppelganger is a military technology). Or that they should be interested in simply taking over the Institute despite their long running practice when dealing with the big threats.....the nuclear option, they have no record of taking over the FEV program, or the biological weapons of the Enclave etc. Okay they can actually do this in Tactics (although there is no cannon ending), but that is the only time the BOS didn't simply end the situation with the total destruction of the enemies bases and even then the plan is to literally nuke the enemies base.

Actually the only time BOS hasn't gone to the nuclear option is with the NCR and that didn't work out that well for them.

Pretty much, largely to the total lack of facts to back up the claim simply a demand that we provide evidence that they are not killing non-ferals despite there being zero evidence to support the claim.

How's that for evidence: I saw a vertibird crash on a non-feral kamikaze style. Case closed.

Well that is 100% more evidence than anyone ever presented. :goodjob:

Okay you could be just making that up, but vertibirds tend to crash on everybody so its probably likely to have happened.

Yeah, I was making that up, but chances are it happened at some point somewhere in the Commonwealth.

The Brotherhood is full of racists. Just bring Hancock onto the Prywden and see all the comments he gets from various Brotherhood members. However, being a racist is a long way from killing regular Ghouls for sport. While it is very likely for some Brotherhood members to fire at regular Ghouls and claim they thought it was a Feral, that situation would be very rare. However, just because an organization has a bunch of racists in it doesn't mean that the Brotherhood is racist or kills regular Ghouls.

Well, if youre asking why WE think the BOS hate them its because in fallout 3, underworld (a settlement of non ferals) says they will kill them on sight and the BOS around there even spit hateful remarks.

And in fallout 4.. Ive never seen a ghoul BOS.

If you're asking why the BOS ingame hate them? I'd assume its because regardless, oneday they will turn.

May be general "ghoulism".. I mean, would you really be fine with someone the equivalent of a rotting corpse pouring you a drink in bar?

How does that reflect BoS being racist as a group instead of the Commonwealth? Try bringing Hancock or Nick anywhere, they all have craps to say at Vault 81 or Diamond City. Diamond City tells them to get lost straight out.

I'm guessing people that claim the Brotherhood should have taken over the Institute never talked to Proctor Quinlan afterwards. You can ask him if he's upset it was all destroyed. After all, of anyone on the Prydwyn, he probably has the most reason to be upset. He straight up tells you, though, that no, he isn't upset. In fact, he's glad it was all destroyed. The last thing he wanted was for the Institute's research to see the light of day. He wanted it destroyed.
