so with the last beta test i was not able to download the beta client .As a test as of yesterday at 6pm PST i re installed the beta launcher as of 2 minutes ago its only reached 13%. I've done every test possible to get my download speed faster but maybe what i did wasent enough. Im no computer wiz but since i pre ordered ESO an since its such a big file i dont want to waste days leaving my computer on trying to get the thing to download an miss out of playing 5 days early an have a few friends disappointing im not joining then all because it would still be downloading the client days later after the 5 day early date. So here is my computer specs can anyone give me any clue if i need to upgrade my computer?

It kinda mostly depends on your internet connection/speed.

Tell us yours and we'll say if it's the reason.

Your hardware is fine. It's about 23 Gig altogether so it's huge, it'll be a while.

If you do stop the download it will pick it back up again.

It will take a while. The game is massive.

Just be patient.

Its a combination of the server where the download is located and your internet speed. I have 100 MB/s download speed and the game would download at a max of 25, and over half the time it was down to 6 or lower.

You have a pretty slow internet connection, I suggest contacting your internet provider for a faster one.

You do that, I suggest you get the fastest one possible, if it's out of your price range go at least something like 20mb.

Looking at this your download speed is less than 1mb per second and it took me about 8hrs to download @6mbps so yeah will take awhile.

If that is without ESO downloading you have a problem. If it's with ESO downloading that's probably OK.

If you indeed only download with 600 kb/s max it wil take you over 10 hours thats with perfect speeds all the time. And i think your speed might be even less then shown in the speed test as those often show higher speeds then seen when downloading.

What i wonder is how fast do you download other files trough torrent/explorer?

Just as a side note, there's a difference between byte and bit.

The speedtest shows the speed in bits.

1 byte is 8 bits.

So the OPs download speed is actually around 100 kilobyte/sec.

Which means that if eso is 30 gb it would take the op about 83 hours to download .

Ah, i read it wrong then, thanks for correcting. 10-20 hours and 80 hours is a big diffrence . Dont want to mislead OP.

traceroute or pathping info would have been more useful than dxdiag info.

Unless you have high end Internet service in the U.S. like fios or google fiber, your download is going to take a while. I think the average Internet speed in the U.S. is under 10 mb/s (worse than many third world nations) and with the ESO download being almost 30 gb, well, do the math.

My experience with ZOS's download servers (or their cdn's) was really good but still took more than 9 hours.

On Windows, do tracert and pathping.

It will be your internet connection. ZOS's download servers are quite good. I have a fairly fast connection at 60MB/sec and while I couldn't download the beta from ZOS at 60MB/sec they were at least letting me pull it at 10-15MB/sec. Upgrade your internet connection and you shouldn't have an issue.

Does it seem to be stuck at 13%? When I updated it for the last beta it showed 13% for a day and then jumped to 100%.

I haven't seen DL speeds that low in a while. How do you even play on that connection?
