Before you moan and groan this is not another Imperial V Stormcloak thread although it will likely turn into one, but I think the Stormcloaks should defeat the Empire as the canon ending because it'll be a change for once! In the last 3 games you always see the great empire from Cyrodiil blah blah blah and it's all getting a bit boring now, hopefully the Empire dissolves and the Dominion are defeated by a united Tamriel (not under an Emperor) run by a council of the respective leaders from each province and then each province goes about it's business, they could war or establish treaties etc etc. but it would just bring a whole new feel into the game not to mention the potential for new story-lines

I would love the Stormcloaks to win but The treaty is the best option.

Either way I want to see the Thalmor take over Tamriel. THAT, my friends, would be the most interesting.

I don't think that'll happen though. Even Ulfric says the truce is temporary.

I don't either but it is the best option so nobody gets angry that the other side won.

Edit: The thalmor won't take over Tamriel. Even if they could it is not their goal.

Should a SC win be canon? Depends on who you ask. Will it be canon? Strongly doubt it.

The thalmor winning I think would be the most interesting MK says they do win but he is not exactly involved anymore.

We'll just have to wait till the next game to see what happens.

Speculations are all that can be made here. I agree with others that it will probably not be a true win for either side of the war.

He said they would win, but he never said what winning would mean for them.

I hope the Thalmor go the way of the Dwemer and just disappear. Leave Tamriel for the Dominion and their rightful rulers.

Regardless of whether the Stormcloaks will win or not, Skyrim will succeed from the Empire in my opinion. The Empire is crumbling.. And only Skyrim, High Rock and Hammerfell are left... barely.

Hammerfell is a independent province.

High Rock will never leave the Empire (Similar to American-British allies).

Skyrim will join the Empire again when it is done complaining and not able to take on the whole Dominion on its own.

In the next game...They won't even mention the civil war..callin it right now.

I honestly didn't know that Hammerfell was an independent nation? Skyrim soon will be.. Regardless of whether the Stormcloaks win.

The Thalmor should win. I want a TES game set under nazi-elf rule. Please make it happen Bethesda.

As much as I like to see that, I think it will just be left at season unending

I am actually expecting the civil war to be a minor footnote in history that end up getting lost. I suspect the next TES game will be more like a few hundred years later and involve warring nations trying to redefine their borders and whatnot. So I doubt the civil war has any real weight either way.

Honestly I prefer the Empire over the Stormcloaks but I too am looking forward to a change from a fantasy Roman Empire.

I believe the stormcloaks should win because it would send humanity spiraling down further from dominance.
