You are the only one that's made a point to me. I understand this, but what I mean is, it is too quick to level up. No In-game challenges. No sense of Achivemnt after level 20. Because there isn't one.
The same sense of achievement that has been in sports before video games and video games since they started. Accomplishing difficult tasks. Play hard and win, get good friends together for great teamwork too.
I feel like there's no sense of achievement in gaining levels, "achievements", or completing a story.
Instead, I enjoy a game design as-is in all its unique glory. Attempting to perfect my control over it, appreciating every nuance down to the last detail.
No achievements were harmed in the making of this drama.
On guns and maps in CS: it has less than BRINK does in guns and equipment, has NO classes OR abilities. There are more maps than BRINK but only a select few popular ones are really played. So why is CS not dead? mods.
In CS there are literally millions of custom maps that people make freely. There are literally thousands of custom mods that people play on various servers. CS may have started with 2 virtually similar game modes, but the community made far far more. Jailbreak, minigames, surf, Team Deathmatch, Warcraft 3 FT, rpg mod, free for all, gun game, modern warfare 2 mod, etc, etc ,etc eteteeteffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu there are so many!
Imagine... an infinite supply of mods aka "DLC" that is completely free. Looks more amateur than professionally-made DLC but it works just as well.
In conclusion, the game with the most productive community lives the longest and strongest. Honestly, the only thing that any modern game has over CS is better graphics.
