why take away the consoles access to unlimited resources

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 7:03 am

and it's absolutely irrelevant how someone wants to call it anyway.

it's a singleplayer game... and if someone want's to play it that way it's up to him. noone else can rightfully judge about it...

it's not forbidden, there is no victim... so no crime ;)

Hey if you get stuck in a rock and can type in a number to teleport out, and I get stuck in a rock and have to reload to an older save, then yeah, to me that is cheating.

I'd rather get a daily root canol than ever game on a pc. Removed Flame

i wouldn't touch a console or even a game controller (G11 isn't a controller *g*) with a long stick... but i don't bash consoleros ;)

both systems have advantages and disadvantages...

the frustration on both sides is because all games are designed "multi platform" now... so neither platform can play out it's strenghts truly and has to live with compromises.

that's not the fault of one of the platforms or it's players...

Well then enjoy reloading your earlier save and complaining in forums that your non-pc doesn't do what a pc does, now if you'll excuse me I have to go complain that my car doesn't fly.

Really? Why so high? The original Resident Evil was only 15+ and that was pretty scary for its time.

The flaming and insults need to stop. When I get off work I'll take a run through this thread and try to clean it up. I'm leaving a general warning here to try and minimize further warnings being issued.

So don't insult or make disparaging remarks about people.

On topic, as has been brought up sometimes exploits are "fixed" as a side-effect of another bug getting fixed, or that exploit is sometimes a symptom of a problem that's actually causing bigger problems. That's just the nature of programing - one small change can have wider effects.

The terminology "console" is referring to "interfacing". The term "Home console" was created as a reference to interfacing defined media for those devices such as cartridges and discs.

Resources, metal and minerals no problem at all. Collect everything that isn't nailed on the wall. Scrap weapons. Search on wiki where the shipment traders are located. Collect weapons and armor and sell it to buy stocks of shipments. Of course I had problems with wood and oil, but I build mine few settlements piece for piece. Strong back perk help carry alot of stuffs.

Btw, Bethesda do fix exploits even there are bugs/unwanted glitches that should be taken care of. Exploits do not destroy the game and if players find it usefull, go ahead, it's your game, but Bethesda politics in mine eyes, NO exploits. They are going to be fixed. Earlier TES game also had exploits. Been fixed as well. I use game commands to re gather lost named traders and use on robots so they don't create havoc where I'm placing them. There are mods yes, but no mods on this machine before the official game editor is available.

Only exploit I used, scrap things to increase the settlement building area. These are as default too small. I don't have super green stuff of machine, but after I have increased few settlements area, no problem at all. Bugs/glitches are issues I need to deal with and these nothing to do with the settlement size.

Cheers,

It's getting really old seeing a new console user being butthurt over fixed exploits thread every 12 hours.

Seriously, if it's that big a deal, then change your gaming platform to a PC, where you can do almost anything your heart desires. Console limitations have been around since the Atari 2600, and they will always be around. Don't like it? Then complain to the console maker directly, not on a forum for a game where the developer is following the rules the console maker has stipulated in order to publish said game on that console.

I honestly hope that the mods start closing these threads the second they get made, they serve no purpose other than to complain abotu something nobody has control of outside of the console maker.

For the record, I am not singling out any one user, this has been an escalating thing for a few weeks now.

Agree ^. I hope Sony and Microsoft change their politics soon so they who use console have more options, like use of game commands and mods. Not all games do support the same kind as Bethesda games, but I think in the future, game developers make games where players can make alot of changes (within rules of course). That way players will be playing certain games for longer period and not rush through MQ - finish - boring - next game please - "I'm not going to buy any games from they again".

I'm guessing it's a difference between different rating systems in this particular case - the US/ESRB system doesn't have a "15" rating. It has "Teen" (which I'd guess is 13ish. T games are pretty family-friendly), and then M (17+).

It's really getting tiring seeing pc users getting butthurt over people complaining about people complaining about a system pc users don't use and seem to disdain. Why even read these complaint threads if it hurts your feelings so much? It's also getting very tiring to see pc users telling console players to go buy a pc. Unless you want to kick in on the cost what's the point of telling us to buy a system we don't want?

And please, like I'm sure MS is telling the beth devs they need to remove the dupe glitches because having access to 30k wood is a bad thing in a solo game. That's just sheer stupidity.

Depends where youre located. In Norway - Pan European Game Information, M = 18+. Skyrim and Fallout do have 18+. Youngsters who try to buy such games, not allowe. An advlt have to buy the game, but...... not every shop do follow that rule. The rating goes: 3+, 7+, 12+, 16+ and 18+.

not only the age "levels" differ but also the reasons why it's rated into a cathegory.

in germany you can get along with a bit of profanity or nudity to keep it 16+... but gore instantly makes it 18+

Thats why PC's cost so much, you can do more things with them overall. Its like getting angry cause somebody has a more expensive phone than you and it does more stuff than your phone. These threads are getting annoying. Its constantly a moan thread about how they removed a glitch/cheat. We seriously may need separate forums. I hope this is the case on the new forums that are arriving.

I remember playing Resident Evil when i was about 11 when it came out. I bought it from a friend for a couple of £ cause he played it for a few days and started having nightmares. Not even lying. He was a year younger than me. That game should of been a 18+. Was pretty scary for its time.

I don't expect much as most of them are immature man children, or actual children.

The fact that there is a stigma on us due to our ability to achieve more because the PC is inherently capable of more, shows me that this stigma is fueled by jealousy and a feeling of "being left out".

You said it, friend. The whining is incessant.

The entitlement generation thinks even video game accomplishments should be handed to them on a silver platter. If you just want to build things, play Minecraft or get some Legos. Fallout settlement building is a mechanic intended to add life and choice to the game world. In order to fit into the franchise, it has to be difficult to build a huge fortress.

This part will likely be lost on the whiners, but the difficulty also makes it much more gratifying when you find that desk fan or adhesive that you desperately needed to finish your project.

I don't know about the game rating.... worse thing can be seen on TV even for real in the news. I say games are pretty innocent compare to everything else in rl.

I didn't see any PC users getting butthurt (such an ignorant and crude phrase), I only saw someone who uses console getting butthurt over Bethesda fixing an exploit, then [censored]ing about PC users. I then personally offered a legitimate and factual explanation as to why they fixed the exploit.

So sorry, this entire thread was fueled by someone on console (I only bring up this because you started the whole (PC user vs. CONSOLE user thing) who was offended because an exploit was patched and noticed PC users can use the console to cheat, and why is THAT allowed. So, just a console user [censored]ing about the PC having more tools available (which said tools ONLY exist because mod support, fact.).

You try to make a point, but it falls so flat. Also, who the [censored] mentioned MS? MS most likely had zero to do with it. Bethesda as a studio will repair exploits to keep the game running as it should, the fact that I even have to explain any of this shows you posses very little in the way of comprehension skills or even a basic understanding of how any of this works.

Spot on. I have a cousin who plays games... but doesn't really play them (he is old enough to sit down and play a game the right way), he can only play them if he has access to everything right from the get go.

It is sad, when I was a kid and a game was too difficult, guess what? I tried and tried until I either gave up and came back to it at a later time, or when I defeated the challenge.

No one wants to put any effort into anything these days, even into a hobby. This world is [censored] doomed man haha.

When the world ends and we are living this [censored], I wonder how many of them will sit around [censored]ing about how we built shelters and found food, why can't THEY just have it? lol
