I bought the Standard edition off of PSN Store about 3hrs before midnight.

The game downloaded, then at 2 minutes past midnight, I started the game.

I got the Install screen, thinking it wouldn't take too long, so sat down to wait. That was an hour ago, in 1 hour it installed 10%.

I see it go up by 1% every 10 minutes or so. Why is a game that was downloaded 3hrs earlier, taking so long to install. I can't find any other problems like this. I know it's early, but why should it take so long to Install a game that's already on the HDD. At the rate it's going, I think I'm going to have to wait 10 hrs to play the game (I'm probably wrong, can't think, too upset, wasting money on a downloaded game, and can't get a refund). Scary part is, I can't do anything while it's installing (let's not forget the electricity bill, for waiting for a game to install). I'm thinking of just turning off the system (corrupting HDD or not, idc at this point) then buying a physical copy.

I've read that the physical copy doesn't take long to install. I don't see how it can be quicker though, I've already got the digital copy on my system...

I've been playing and installing games for years, I have never EVER seen a game take so long to install. Did I get a dodgy download or something?

Download speed purely depends on your internet provider.....my speed could install it in 4 to 5 hours but it took me 7.5 hours instead because I didn't want to be a dike and kick a friend who was streaming Netflix movies off my network for 4 hours.

It's already downloaded, your answer is exactly what the internet gives me. I have it downloaded, I can't get it to install INSTALL.. Seriously, read the comment before commenting..

Downloading and installing are 2 completely different things...

How full is your ps4 hdd? If its near maxed out then thats why its taking so long. The game needs to unpack the files to install, and if theres not a lot of space its going to take longer. If your hdd is empty than hopefully its not dying.

Same here... But I read that this "installing" is actually a download. First downloaded 4.4gb and I guess now it will download 27 or 40gb. The info on forums differs.

The wait is pain! I took half day off my job just to sit here and look att the "install"-counter... It's now at 63%

i bought the physical version and it did take a good 25-30 mins to install the game, but less than 5 mins to download the patch.
