Why is the ending so bad?

I admit, I may just be judging from the PCs but the Silver Hand's base is like literally ten feet away from the Vigilants of Stendarr's Temple which gets burned down in Dawnguard.

I did a double take when I played Dawnguard and realized that was the Silver Hand's castle.

"Oops."

The most popular thing to forget on this forum, no doubt.

Either that, or I still don't know how to get the ending where House, Kimball and Ceasar sit (well, House just stares on a monitor) in Lucky 38 and drink champagne while discussing the new taxes.

Bethesda can't please anyone.

They made a huge number of changes to Fallout 4 from Fallout 3: Moral Ambiguity, No Karma System, a More directed story, and everyone who loved Fallout 3 now hates it while people who didn't like it.

You can't win.

Just to make one thing clear. I love the game and spent sleepless nights on it. But I stand to what I said. I don't play Beth games for their story, but for their open world, their adventures and their character development. I consider Beth's storytelling to be weak, but that doesn't keep me from loving their games.
