Why the Game of the Year is going to svck

The game is probably still one of the best fictional middle-age RPG thing out there. If not the best. But just from what has been shown, it would be so easy to snap that away. Combat, motion, NPCs, camera movement. No matter how you put it - for me at least. It still feels like you are a guy in a box. I am going to love it, but damn. I wish someone would come around and yell at them. It really seem like Bethesda got the mental illness of success.

I see a lack of vision or someone just didn't get the simple task of playing other games, take what is awesome and make it all better. This is not to say that the Elder Scroll - Skyrim is a reskind, but the fundamental idea of gameplay in the series, seem stagnate.

Has anyone played, Assassins Creed, Red Dead Redemption, Hitman, Battlefield, Batman Arkham Asylum, Killzone and the list goes on, so long that it almost hurts. And I am going to pick and choose different ideas. Not to say, this is the definitive way the game should have proceeded, but it is a very easy way to see how little Skyrim is actually doing in terms of gameplay. It is not to say, that something can be done for Skyrim - as it is of course to late, but until the next game. Let's try to delve into the imagination of a gamer, a DnD fan and a man with visions for tweaks that could have made the game better selling and gameplaywise.

What Combat in Skyrim could learn from Batman Arkham Asylum/ Assassins Creed/ Killzone. Imagine your best friend is telling you are story about a warrior slicing up his enemies. Was he doing it with mad skills, twisting and cutting the enemy until he begged for mercy at your knees? If so, how is the back of a man who stole the horns of a cow while waving his arm randomly in the air suiting you? It's embarrassing.

It doesn't have to be finishing moves all the time, but really, how is hitting an enemy in the face without and visual difference, until the unit fall to the ground, helping anyone?

What Motion in Skyrim could learn from Battlefield and Red Dead Redemption. I assume you can dodge, but what about crawling behind bushes to try to hide your location from wild or enemies? Imagine a friend telling you, how you walk down the road as slaves comes running, yelling at you and telling you to take cover as guards are coming on horses. Giving you the option to throw yourself into the forest for cover as you watch the story unfold on the road. No cover and no laying down. How does it feel to be half man half cow running around the forest? But take care of obstacles, they are only there to ruin your path. Embarrassing

What NPCs in Skyrim could learn from Red Dead Redeption and Hitman. Imagine your friend telling you about how you enter a city where the word of your arrival came before you and people are standing, sitting, starring and laughing at your presence. Instead you are met by a city of strange walking and talking robots who stole their bodies just before your arrival. Embarrassing.

[What b]Camera [/b]in Skyrim could learn from Killzone. Imagine your friend telling that you how you ran to take cover and is now dodging behind a fallen tree as you tip your head over the threes to look the guards coming to take away the slaves. Instead you are met by a slave forced into a conversation system, so the guards know how to interact with your cow face. Embarrassing.

Please let me know if someone is secretly feeding me crazy pills.

Best regards,

Audacious.

All your comparisons are of ACTION games, and not RPG games. Skyrim is an RPG and does not need the action crap of BF3, RDR, B:AC, etc.

Plus, what doe other games having things Skyrim doesn't have to do with the inevitable GOTY edition?

Invalid points are invalid. Try again.

Wasn't this the exact same topic that was locked a few days ago?

And also I have played RDR, I beat it and loved it but there is a major difference between it and Skyrim:

Red Dead Redemption: Miles and Miles of Sagebrush.
Skyrim: Miles and Miles of Stuff for you to do.
