Why The Hate @ Childrens in Skyrim

Post » Mon Oct 25, 2010 3:51 pm

So i watching alot of times on the Forums and i just noticed 80 % of Peoples hate Children's in Skyrim

I know they can be annoying but doesn't it bring more Reality in the Game ???

I would like to see some children's run around the city and playing with eachother and playing with some toys

even if they are annoying

I would also like a Quest from the Parents that his child is kidnapped

and you need to bring back his child

Some Quest like that

But Why the Hate on Children's in Skyrim ?

Maybe because it looks to much like Fable with Children's ?

Personally its not so much im against them but how they are implemented, like they whole idea that they are unkillable, i understand that they dont want to make a "child killing simulator" but if a big massive dragon is comming out of the sky and killing everyone around and the only person left alive is a kid, thats just a little imersion breaking, along with the fact why will i want to take a quest to save a kid if i know that he cant be killed? note most threads realating to children get locked and even putting the words "child " and "killing" are in the same senetnce is probably going tog et me in troube, but that the reason I HAVE with adding children, but i would still rather them be in than out

I'm not against children, I just hope the "save my child" clichee won't be abused (once or twice is ok) because then I'll really start hating them. Also, if they are programmed to escape the dragon/other creatures attacks they'd better be quick so I wouldn't have to witness their cheating.

Pluses and negitives for them, just like in life, some kids make me smile, some make me think 'shut your damm brat up,please!' :P

I think it's to do with how some act, like that one in river city, but he had a messed up mum,so...

But some kids in F.O where likeable enough....

I don't have problem with children in Skyrim, because I'm sure there will be a mod that fixes that one problem with them.

I Think it's the same as Special Important NPC's like in Oblivion you can't kill or an Special Important NPC can't be killed

As long as they aren't hardcoded to be unkillable then I don't mind them being in as invulnerable.

Nope. Essential (ie, invilnerable) characters don't enhance reality, they lessen it- no matter what their ages or in-game actions.

'Nuff said.

Best Morrowind mod made: http://lovkullen.net/Emma/kids.htm

It just added so much life to the static world that it just wouldn't be the same without it. Love the idea of kids going into ES-V. I just hope they can do it half as well as Emma did.

1. they are immortal, that makes me less inclined to risk my in game life to save them due to knowing that.
2. they will likely be the same age (by this I mean they all will be 10, not some some preteen, and some teen, etc.)

That's all I can think of now, these are my opinions/guesses by the way.

Kids have to be invincible, remember there loads of right wing press out there just waiting for a chance to attack gaming, even to the point of misinformation,as with GTA,'you beat women to death' but not adding that the game doesn't tell you to...

Hey.. Btw.. "TAG! YOU'RE IT!"*Runs away*

I just hope that they go away from the brat children that was the children of Fallout 3, if they are still brats I'd go insane... Or just make a mod that removes them, or just make them killable.. Either way.lol :chaos:

It'll add more realism, and children will probably be restrict to large populated areas. They are going to be unkillable as in Fallout 3, but I bet even attacking them will bring swift retribution on the player.

It would svck if Annoying Fan were the toddler great-great-grandson of the original Annoying Fan... assuming it was recon'd that the original Annoying Fan wasn't thrown off of Dive Rock by the player.

On an unrelated note... I bet there will be an even higher, steeper, more dangerous version of Dive Rock somewhere.

Huh ? ok so if there is only advlts it's more real than with Children's ???

Read what I wrote: It'sany character being marked Essential, thus invulnerable. Doesn't matter what size or age they are. But adding children automatically means [number of children in-game] essential, invulnerable characters.

Not everyone can get the mod because some plays on Console unless they Release the mod on Console as DLC
