Why the particles effect are terrific?

Post » Thu Jun 16, 2011 1:55 pm

In a game of 2002 is incredible. Very bad perfomance. I got 60 FPS ingame, but for example in a cascade turbulence I got 35 FPS. Also when spell casting.

It is necessary a fix !!!! :-)

I think most people seem to have modern enough PCs so that it's not an issue. I mean, if it was an issue, the mods would have been made long ago so you might have luck if you look around. I know that there is a mod that gets rid of Propylon particle effects.

What?
35 FPS is still very good.

The game is playable at even 12 FPS

Playable does not mean top-quality. I love the maximum. That the game flows as smoothly as possible.

Every animation in morrowind runs at I believe 15 fps, so anything over 15 fps should be as smooth as at 60 fps...just saying.

I only know of a couple of mods that affect the Propylon chambers: stormless' http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2231 and cdcooley's Propylon Lighting, the latter:
On low-end machines, the particle effects in the Propylon Chambers can reduce FPS levels to below those seen even in Balmora. This plugin uses a mesh by Starcon5 and some new (oridinary) lighting to make the Propylon Chambers less FPS intensive and still not too plain. This changes the Platforms, a few lights, and nothing else.
It's only available from the Internet archive at the moment. http://web.archive.org/web/20070205014548/http://home1.gte.net/cdcooley/PropylonLighting1.0.zip.

I believe you have an account at GHF already...do you not? The new MMH site uses that same login; in fact you can login at GHF and be logged in at MMH automatically.

In that case you should better never think about playing "Skyrim - Home of the Nords". I doubt that there will be a since place where you will have the chance for 60 FPS (if you use MGE)

Or most of the newer mods for that matter.

I did have a GHF one back in 2008. I think you then moved BB software or upgraded or something and that account went. Then I got a MMH one and now I've just got a new GHF one. So, everything's cool.
