You're just all full of questions lately lol :)
My guess is it's Weather - All Natural. It changes interior lighting depending on weather and time off day and sometimes it come become a little too bright in certain places (check out the gilded carafe it can get nuclear in there at times)

I found interiors brighter after moving to Win 7. In fact I had complained on the All Natural thread that Benirus manor was too dark, especially at night. It isn't now. In fact, I'm glad that the lights which you can buy from my new mod (no plug there, much), can be shut off. I really thought it was because I had installed All Natural wrong the first time...

It's funny though, because you've got an ATI card whereas I have an Nvidia (GTX 285) - so I don't think it's a driver issue under Win 7, unless it's universal :)

You have a mod where you can buy lights? Why is this not in your sig?

Perhaps Windows 7 has different gamma settings for your card/drivers? All Natural does wonders for interiors, though sometimes they look really odd. Daytime is often very bright and the sun almost never shines from the correct direction due to how the cells were constructed in the CS.

Heh. If it's indeed being caused by ANRL, I guess we just can't win. People complained it was too dark. So I put back some light sources. Now it's too bright? :P

I don't think the prison cell at the start of the game would suffer from overly bright daylight because IIRC, the game starts just before sunrise.

I think it is ANRL. I noticed it too.
In previous versions ANRL removed the single torch (to an empty holder) so you couldn't see a thing almost; talking to the emperor, presented a silhouette with a shiny red amulet (esp. with darkness mods active anyway.) And character creation was practically impossible.

Now it is rather light, daylight brightness (but no glare or anything.) Sure it is a tad unrealistic, but it is perfect for setting up your character. So I think the 'lapse' in realism is worth it. Perhaps some other means might be a better mix of realism and functionality (a bright 'whiter' torch in either side wall perhaps?,) but I find it to be an improvement at any rate. :D

Because I'm such a noob I didn't think of it :P Added now, thanks for the reminder :)

Yeah, could be. I just turned down the digital vibrance a bit. Probably need to go through the whole monitor calibration thing again...

@Arthmoor - no you can't ever win! I was one of the complainers - about Benirus anyway :) It was really bright when I went back during the daytime. I think in my case, I'll be better served by turning off HDR though. The Mystic Archives at the Arcane U at night are really dark (I needed a torch), so I think things are working as they should be.

I actually had a beautiful light streaming through the window effect (in the prison cell) when I started a new game recently to test something.

Leave it well lit!
I need good light when creating new char. it is difficult enough as it is even with ANRL :D

Yes. I always wondered why they did the character creation in bad lighting. I have had a couple of odd-looking characters thanks to that.

I really liked the darkness. The prison cell lighting is terrible for creating characters for me. I keep a separate profile for creating faces, looking at the face in different types of light, especially outdoors (where my PC spends most of his time.)

Is there something I can remove to make it dark again? I figured it was a change in AN, since I recently grabbed 0.9.5.5. I had not even realized I had missed an update until a couple days ago.
