Why the upcoming "final" DLC's may not be it

Honestly I'm good with 4 DLC's. I'de rather they use that time planning out the next Fallout game.

Sorry guys, this is it. I'm the last one on the project, and I'll be turning out the lights after this week.

It's been a good run, but everyone is moving on to new projects.

It's been one crazy ride, man.

I hope they don't do New York. It's been used way to much by movies and video games.

I hope they don't do any laser weapons. It's been used way to much by movies and video games.
I hope they don't do radiation mutants of any kind. It's been used way to much by movies and video games.
I hope they don't do zombified ghoul creatures. It's been used way to much by movies and video games.
I hope they don't do struggling survivor factions. It's been used way to much by movies and video games.
I hope they don't do any atomic explosions. It's been used way to much by movies and video games.
I hope they don't do mutated animals. It's been used way to much by movies and video games.
I hope they don't do 'retro sci-fi'. It's been used way to much by movies and video games.
I hope they don't.... .

There's never anything wrong with a specific element. Only the writing and / or execution of that element. If you could have explored all those empty buildings in NV and dramatically increased the number of people on the strip, my love for it would jump 50%.

 As much as I love Fallout, I guess New Vegas has had it's year and "All Good Things...", (sorry IMO, the game is worthy of a quote based comparison). Now then, "New Projects"! thats just throwing petrol on a discussion fire! Hopefully the DLC staff has moved on to produce loads of quality, non-animal armor based DLC for Skyrim, a Hunted sequel, the next Fallout? or furfilling my wish, a RPG version of Shadowrun that the FPS never did the table top game the justice it deserved (no-one else has done anything decent with the IP and FASA maybe bust but they still hold the IP!)

No plans for another patch.

Looks like the ball is now in the modders court for the Unofficial Patch.

Lol, if I had an upto date PC, I'd be still playing Oblivion and Fallout 3 (and living via a saline drip and a potty.)

There probably are going to be some issues made with these two DLC, some kind of bug, some kind of glitch.

I do like Fallout, very much. Personally I liked Fallout 3 more then Fallout: New Vegas. Not saying that it is bad, no, but I liked FO3 more. Although, gotta admit it, FNV is somewhat more stable then FO3 which can just crash for any or what ever reason, or no reason at all.

I won't go into what I liked as much as I say what I did not like, and that's this stupid DLC distribution system with region limitation. How lame is that. Mostly it totally screws up those people, who bought the game in retail but cannot buy DLC's in retail. My concern with Skyrim is whether it will use the same DLC distribution method. If yes, then I have to cancel my pre-order. FNV was a pain enough already with it's DLC distribution system, I don't need yet another Bethesda game cause the same annoyance and aggravation.

Sadly Jason Bergman said the GRA and CS are the last bits of content for New Vegas since he is one of the last people that hasn't moved on to a new project.

Hope we'll still at the very least still be getting a goty(or whatever) version in the near future. I just like the thought of having all my dlc on physical media.

honestly, I'd buy just about anything they put out and im sure many others feel the same...
it makes sense for them financially, and for us entertainment wise. They a great product and we simply want more of it, the logic is simple.
I hope the demand is high enough :)

I'd still like a Legion expansion if only some new quests with just one area and a legion follower.

Sorry guys, this is it. I'm the last one on the project, and I'll be turning out the lights after this week.

It's been a good run, but everyone is moving on to new projects.

Well thanks for the info, and thanks for a great game.

I'm an older guy (55 now) who bought his first gaming console right about the time Fallout 3 came out. I was interested by the commercials and bought it. It is still my favorite game. I even searched for and purchased the collector's edition so I could have the lunch box and bobblehead.

When New Vegas was announced I pre-ordered the collector's edition for it. While I was disappointed in a couple aspects of FNV I am still playing it thanks to the DLC and the fact I just love the 'Fallout' world. My main disappointment in FNV was the fact there was less loot and items to collect and sell than FO3. The DLC's kind of fixed that as there was more things to find and sell than the main game.

Hopefully someone will continue this series with a Fallout 4 or something. I can guarantee you I will pre-order the collector's edition on the first day possible.

Oh, and I still have to go back to FO3 and FNV and play with different characters in mind. Siding with different factions in NV, and playing as a real bad person in FO3.

The legion was severely...shafted in this game. not near the amount of support the NCR got. I would easily buy an add-on dedicated to Caesar's Legion. What bothers me is that already, I am hearing reports of bugs, and glitches in the GRA. They don't intend on Patching these. Nor do they intend on patching anything in any of the DLC.

I think it's a bad idea to just state there will be no further patches when the PS3 version at least needs a patch to address the hideous lag issues. I tried to play Lonesome Road with my original character, but the lag would lock the system up entirely. So I made a new character and started from scratch...and I still have the same problems with lag now late in the game. This is a reason to pull a couple of code monkeys off other projects to make a patch for those of us that paid good money for a product that isn't working like it should.

I've been a Fallout fan since '97. I just bought the classic collection just so I could replay Fallout and Fallout 2 to refresh myself of all the connections the Mojave Wasteland has with the original games. I am heavily invested in this game, and I hold it to a high standard. Unlike Fallout 3 where I bought the Game of the Year Edition, I decided to buy the DLC as it came out. So now that there are known issues with the DLCs interacting, it would be professional to correct those issues. Otherwise, I will have to strongly consider against purchasing future Bethesda products even if it's a new Fallout game or expansion.

You ain't the only thinking about this Jobe. I agree with you whole heartedly that this game was not given the attention it needed, much less deserved.
