Why is there no love for Iona?

Lydia is cool but it does seem like she hates being a housecarl... I think she hates the Dragonborn as well.

Iona is the housecarl at Riften and she's so similar to Lydia - they even say the exact same things. She looks a bit more gothic and her voice is more geniune and serious.
For instance when she says "I am sworn to carry your burden" it sounds like she's honoured to do so and takes it very seriously. Like she wants to help take a weight off your shoulders.
She's just a very serious and badass chick ;)

Here's a picture of her: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/594703156264706735/396E130EB120EA115646D614C40B25EEA199BCD8/

Lol ya, I am looking for a new follower because lydia is just a un-energetic [censored] most of the time.

I prefer her too, when I ask Lydia to carry my stuff she says it unwillingly unlike Iona.

Is it me or did they just change the voice actor and hair colour?

The one in solitude looks exactly the same as Lydia but with blonde hair.

I killed her aswell.

Maybe it's because Lydia sits quitely in her room and waits for her master Dragonborn's orders, whereas Iona keeps commenting and asking questions whenever you drop by the house in Riften to pick up or leave some gear?

At least she stresses me, or, ehm, my charachter out, to the point where he tried to get her killed by 1 spriggan, 2 dragons and 3 bears, but unfortunately none of them succeeded.

I used the console to lock Lydia in her room in Breezehome. She's annoying and I generally don't like her.

To be honest she even looks alot better than Lydia!

Question, if i "marry" a companion (one that travels with you i mean) would it be possible to have her wear a nice dress if i deceide to let her stay at home or will she simply default to what's best in her inventory?

I know Vilkas equips whatever you give him.

He is running around in a chefs outfit in my game.

But I'm not sure if its the same for everyone.

Yeah its a bit lazy of Bethesda to make two companions clones of eachother (or three if what the guy above said about the Solutide housecarl is true)...

It's good to hear other people prefer Iona! I might be over-anolyzing this but does Iona not look like she has sadness in her eyes?
