Ok so you've been alive for maybe 200 years, would you kill yourself? I mean i can understand why there's not many suicidal ghouls, because they probably killed themselves early on, but i am surprised that there's so many ghouls still alive with that much willpower. So the question is why do most ghouls seem either happy, or you can make them happy?

I haven't seen very many happy ghouls, just ghouls making the best of it. As for why there aren't any suicidal ghouls it's probably because if they wanted to than they would kill them selves and if they did kill themselves we wouldn't see them cause they'd be dead, are you following?

It's because there are ghoul cities where everyone is a ghoul. Not to mention many people are being accepting of ghouls now. Think of it like when the war first happened, ghouls were segregated, now with all these ghouls popping around, people begin to become more tolerant. Of course there would still be ghoul haters(like myself, I just use them for an army) but overall, ghouls aren't hated as much.

Also remember that they live for almost 200 years so they learned to deal with it.

Still trying to be tactful I am thinking you are correct the ones that were well inclined to have done it plain and simple. Might just be in the later stages your brain starts to get gooey and you just do not feel all that sad anymore... though them feral boyz never did laugh at any of my jokes and i was using some classy "man you are so ugly" jokes too so not really sure thats the case.


all in all this might be best left to each person to work out as i could see this post getting driven astray rather quickly and nastily.

( I am inclined to think each find there own driving force to carry on.. a loved one, religous beliefs, or a greater cause all in game examples thopugh many in game hit the bottle pretty heavy it seems)

I agree that the fact that there are more people like them helps keep ghouls going. Many of them might also not really care about their appearance, it seems like most ghouls seem to think that other ghouls are attractive, but humans are unattractive.

Any ghoul comes running at me is suicidal. BLAM.

I'm sure there have been plenty. We just don't see them in the game. A daredevil ghoul with a death wish might be an interesting future character, though.

I require more information about the use of ghouls in your army. I find it outrageous to arm ghouls, but there are some other ways to use ghouls in an army, like forming ghoul mine-trampling units, or to strap some explosives to them and train/force them to run into hostile tank formations (kinda sick if you know the Soviets actually did this to humans).

You may also be interested in signing up with the Confederate States Army*. We have use German WW2 weapons, and some Lasers based upon them. What we use them for, to shoot ghouls, super mutants, androids and robots. Rewards can include your very own farm or plantation, complete with slaves.

I am sure many did kill themselves when they figured out they were becoming ghouls. Others just went crazy and became feral. Ones we do see have will power or maybe they think suicide is wrong.

If you can live forever, why? Techinally speaking if you stay alive long enough you'll end up living until society is restored and things just might go back to normal with the added bonus that you still live forever.

The reason Suicidal Ghouls is because it'd be boring in the game. What purpose would it have except a possible side mission

Basically like mindless zombies programmed to listen to only the army. Kind of like the cows the Russians used to uncover bombs in WWII.

People aren't generally patient, and a Ghoul's life is worse than a normal persons... being thought of as trash rather than a person.
