Why is there no official info website?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 9:10 pm

It was with Pete Hines, and there was little to no new info. Interesting listen all the same, though, as Pete is pretty cool awesome.

Here's the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1174216-oxm-podcast/ for the podcast, and here's the http://dl.uksites.futureus.com/cvg/static/OXM_podcast4.mp3 (.mp3 format).

But I listened to this about a week ago. Why is the date of upload set for http://www.elderscrolls.com/skyrim/ on the official website?

Well it's possible I'm completely wrong. But that's the latest Skyrim-related OXM podcast I'm aware of.

Im just mad I gotta look at that stupid teaser everytime I try to go to site and since there is no way around it I cant even look at older games I miss the old site....that and being able to bypass that vid to get to other stuff seems more important I mean what If I wanted to buy a morrowind shirt or whatever I dont even know how to get to that anymore...its so confusing? Anyone else frustrated by this?

Been a while since you visited that site, lol?
From the top menu you can go to the Oblivion, Morrowind, Daggerfall, Arena, Redguard and Battlespire pages, and you don't have to watch any video first.
The site is much more organized and looks much better now than before! :)

Read through page only contains confirmed details. UESP is generally very reliable, yes its fan made but Todd Howard even said recently that Beth sometimes rely on it so thats good enough for me!
We actually use the fan wiki online a lot. It's pretty amazing. They did a better job cataloguing it than we did!

Why would Bethesda's site have an upload date for an OXM podcast? That date is when the article (telling us about the podcast) was posted.

Isn't there a Bethesda podcast with Todd and Pete coming soon? Nick tweeted a few days ago that he was editing it.

Bethesda has a good working relationship with Game Informer, I suspect they're keeping GI.com as the central to-go place for new information out of professional courtesy. As it is, Game Informer's articles have been very good so far so it's not an issue.
