Why is there no official info website? : V

People searching for Skyrim info can't find it at the official website. They have to search somewhere else which isn't as reliable, and it spreads false information. I don't see why Bethesda can't post on the Elder Scrolls website the information that's already be revealed in magazines so far.

I guess from Bethesda's point of view, we don't need to know much yet - 8 months away from release, the vast majority of potential players are probably only interested in seeing what it looks like and getting a rough idea of the plot and gameplay. The specific and detailed information many of us here are looking at (and for) would probably overwhelm more casual players.

I agree that a summary page listing game features (ones the devs know won't change) would be nice, though.

Im just mad I gotta look at that stupid teaser everytime I try to go to site and since there is no way around it I cant even look at older games I miss the old site....that and being able to bypass that vid to get to other stuff seems more important I mean what If I wanted to buy a morrowind shirt or whatever I dont even know how to get to that anymore...its so confusing? Anyone else frustrated by this?

But I though there were like 100 different sites with updates.. Facebook, Tes official site, Skyrim official site etc etc etc.

You could always bookmark or modify the url to one of the game-specific pages to bypass the main page's video stream. Then navigate to the game-specific pages from the menu as needed.

Eg: http://elderscrolls.com/skyrim, http://elderscrolls.com/morrowind, http://elderscrolls.com/oblivion

And I don't know about shirts and whatnot, but you might find them https://orders.gamesas.com/store/.

Hey this is a little off topic but on the http://www.elderscrolls.com/skyrim/ where it says "OXM UK Podcast Interview"... is that a new thing that just came out yesterday or... ? Because the date is 03.29.2011. When I click on the http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-official-uk-xbox-360-magazine/id356150877, I can't find anything on this "Interview", just a few old OXM podcasts and a lot of iTunes spam. If anyone can tell me where to find this interview without having to download something onto my computer, I would greatly appreciate it.

This. Hell, the sticky "where to find information" thread links to 4 different sites. And not one of those contains any official "everything revealed to date" sort of posting, aside from a few fan-made ones which are (like everything fan-made about Skyrim thus far) riddled with speculation and assumptions.
