I think they're polishing the feature for the pc version of the game, so that's why they use xbox 360 screenshot instead.
I'm gonna play it on xbox so i really don't care. I can't afford a pc to run skyrim. :brokencomputer:

Bethesda doesn't release media on multiple platforms. This is nothing new.

I believe Bethesda is using the Xbox360 to show off the work because it has the biggest user base. It may not be the biggest user base for The Elder Scrolls, but from abusiness perspective it probably has the largest pool of potential revenue. Bethesda, in my opinion, knows they have the PC users, and now they are trying to grab a larger piece of the pie by appealing to the console users. The number one goal of a company is to make a profit. Just the way it works.

Least common denominator situation. You don't want to show off the PC version and then the console market to feel deceived when the visuals aren't quite the same quality as the promotion media that's been used to sell the game. They will probably release the screenshots that people are saying are in a magazine right before launch as enough content has been released to prevent that issue.

reasoning behind not doing it but still. They very much want me
to spend 100's of dollars on collector's this and collector's that,
but they won't show me straight up what I am buying? They show
me something 'similar', but not exactly what I am getting for my
hard earned dollars.

STOP WHINING

The X-Box graphics look as bad as it can possibly look on PC, right? So look at those and think to yourself: "Gee, if it looks like this on X-Box, imagine what it'll look like on PC." If you're that obsessed with performance, you already know how much better things look with just a small bump in AA.
