Why no waypoints for quests?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 11:16 pm

For like 80% of the quests theres no waypoints whatsoever on where im supposed to go, mostly for misc quests, and also almost no or very little information on aproximetly where im supposed to go, it just says bring this and this.

Because you have to go to your journal and select an active quest first... Figured that out within five seconds of looking at quest menu.

You need to set the quest as "active" before a waypoint shows up. Every quest I've tried has had waypoints. You also need to listen to people... just like in real life.

The big problem isnt that you need to set the quest as active, i figured that out in seconds as well. You also need to set the category of quest as active, ie Misc, if you dont put the category as active you wont get any waypoints.

Yeah - I think it's a little mistake that Bethesda forgot to iron out. No doubt it'll be patched out before long, because it makes no sense to have to activate the quest itself AND the quest category. If you activate the quest, the category should automatically be activated too.

I think this only happens for quests under the "Miscellaneous" category though, right? Because you can't activate individual parts of the quests that have their own category name.

Well i wodnered this too.

Right, soi they need setting as active. I thought that just by clicking the quests in the jornal that was enough, Clearly not.

Some quests, especially miscelanious are glitched though.
They do not show up on Skyrim world map.

They quest wants you to go into a ruin or house, and then the quest marker will appear so as to direct you to a cell deeper into that dungeon.
But outside that particular cell, no marker and clairvoyance will say 'no active quest', even though it is.

I have this problem right now with 'Clear redbelly mine of spiders."
Dont even remember where I accepted that quest and the markers are not working.

In addition to that, get the "clairvoyance" spell. It will "Fable" you to your next objective.
