G-Day

I'm in the process of teaching myself (with help from forums) the GECK.
i lay out my vault, with nifty crusifix lay out, common "brain washing" area
with secret door leading, through a cave and into a rusted out overseeers' office.

that all seems to work and save all right.

but when i load up the interior....
half the level is gone! some tiles shifted leaving my common area in disaray
(and not the post appocolyptic type i was aiming for)

i ignore all warnings when loading
is there something i'm dooing (or not) that will fix it?

much love
AJ

Have you moved around in your cell? One possibility that comes to mind is that the pieces you say are missing are in fact just being de-rendered because they contain old, incorrect room-bounds. Try walking into the areas that you think are missing - if it is a room bound problem they should suddenly appear. Alternatively, in the GECK go to View -> Show/Hide Window and tick the 'portals and rooms' box: if there are room bounds in your cell they will appear as blue boxes.

1) If you are placing the objects in high (+10000) X and Y positions, that may be the problem. Also, if you make a very large area, that can cause problems.

2) If you switch to other programs with the GECK open it can become unstable graphically. You can usually fix it the hitting the 'L' key twice. Otherwise, shut the GECK down and reload. Its also advised NOT to have the GECK open when you run the game.
