Gaming Heads is making an over-priced statue
This is OK i think, but 300$+ for a STATUE? ()
You could work with NECA Toys or Mcfarlane Toys for some COOL action figures... but this...
I can't afford paying 300$ for this Dragonborn statue, so please Bethesda, make some ACTION FIGURES, not over-priced statues...

I will pass on any merchandise that is not related to in game content. But that is just me.

Pics or it didn't happen. And yeah I agree this shouldn't be exclusively aimed at the rich people, most people are normal gamers and we need $10-$20 products.

Dude, there is no such thing as "overpriced" in this collectors niche thing. I googled it and it looks like very high quality, limited to 500/1000 pieces each! This is not for everybody, and is not forced into a collector's edition or something. I think $300 is a fair price for such a detailed and rare statue.

Yep, saw it now... what can I say... looks fab but way to expensive. I'd rather they comission NECA as you said, those are pretty good bang for your buck.

Bethesda finally sign with somebody (after 2 years) for collectibles... and they gave us an 300$ statue (it look's AWSOME, and beautiful made)...
But IDK guys... it's like ''Hey, we finally give you guys a figure, but it's expensive so that you can't buy it *trollface*''

They are also only making a total of 1500 of these (1000 standard edition 500 deluxe). So these are extremely limited collectibles, explaining the price.

Absolutely, I'm all for Bethesda selling all sorts of affordable collectibles, it's a wonder why they don't have their own shop like Ubisoft and the others. I'm not rich either, I just know this market enough to know that there are people who can (and are willing to) spend tons of money for premium quality.

Here are two examples that I know of (and fell in love with ) that I will never own but I'd have totally paid the price:

I would only pay that much if I could customize how the Dragonborn looks. To me that is just some random trailer dude.

Here is not just about the price, is about the lack of interest... i just lost interest in the Skyrim merch for this (T_T)
