If skyrim can show secondary weapons like Shield/1h and bow shiver so can ESO....
It has more to do with how many people there are at one time, you dont get that many people on screen in skyrim, and there arent nearly as many variations of the weapon types either. I guess it would be nice if they could do it and do, but as most MMOs only show one weapon at a time(which they often have a toggle to let you choose), Im not that worried about it.
Skyrim doesn't have weapon swapping. And they actually drew a lot of criticism for not showing the sheathed off-hand weapon for dual-wielders.
Again, the issue comes up when you have to sheathe a weapon in the same place you're drawing the new one from. The animation is already a little too slick to cut down on your weapon-swap time. If you want to add that off-set weapon for realism, then you need to be prepared for greatly increased swap times.
Devs put two weapons on your back, lets say bow and two handed axe, and now they are clipping. I hate clipping, you hate clipping, everyone hates clipping...just give me an axe. Also, Stop killing the defenseless birds! What did they every do to you?
That said, I know some wall climbing will be added but I really think it will be added with one of the guilds as a point perk. Most likely the Dark Brotherhood.
Just sounds like u rack down on the developers and programmers... "That is to difficult to do" "That will clipp" its the small details that makes the game great... if it is to difficult to implent stuff like this then i guess its time to leave the gaming industri and try somthing less difficult like a bord game or what ever hahaha....
and the birds.. If a [censored] parrot is sitting on a bridge railing or a stone and u can run over it without it flying or moving is just meh cant even kill it haha.. feels like u playing in a big lagspike :=)
sure it wont be a big gamechanger but when ppl reply its like they like the simplicety and that most of the stuff is to hard to do so just leave it... "Sorry there wont be any mounts since its was to difficult for us to implent so u can run"
Please explain how you keep a giant two-handed axe and a bow on your back at the same time without clipping. Or better yet, explain how you sheathe the axe while getting the bow out.
This game has plenty of small details already making it great. Killable parrots is not a needed fix.
Just pull it from above or grab it below and draw down in a half circle.. coooome on..!!! No birds is not the most imp thing but was ONE of many points...
Yeah and thats what i wrote.. u are happy with a low detailed game... U should try Mountain warband would suit u nicely or Zelda on old nintendo
No need to get snippy, but there is a need for you to really visualize what you just talked about.
First, you have a giant two-handed axe on your back. There is no way to fit a bow on there in a way that you will be able to comfortably/quickly draw either one of those at a moment's notice. Now, imagine that you're holding the axe (which, by the way, cannot be held with one hand for very long). To get your bow, you'll need to release one hand to grab your bow and unhook it from your back, swing the axe over your head while drawing your bow (somehow not chopping your arm off while you lift an axe that can't possibly be maneuvered gracefully with one arm) and sheathe the axe with one hand. I'm all for suspension of disbelief, but if you're talking about details, that whole system looks/sounds ridiculous.
Priorities. The game has to launch sometime. Obviously, mounts were a priority so they're in there.
"We can do anything, but we can't do everything." -Paul Sage (and I think Todd Howard said that, too?)
You can not fight on horseback in Skyrim unless you use mods. There is no way ESO will even consider, nor should they consider 99% of the mods available to Skyrim.
Mounted combat was added to Skyrim through official patching. No mods needed.
But that said, there's a reason it doesn't work in an MMO.
Actually, they patched mounted combat into the game during patch 1.6. It was an official release, not a mod.
Cause they don't know what they are talking about?
Yea, they added it later. Although (IMO) the mounted combat and dragon riding that was added to Skyrim were very disappointing.
"Click bait." If they said in the title what the thread was about, no one would read it. You see it all the time with Buzzfeed links: "This lady was on the beach. You'll never believe what happens next!" or "OMG. I can't believe what this person did. I can't stop laughing."
People do it when they know the substance of their content is weak.
Huh? You lost me with this one...I don't think Google translated this one very well.
Infiltrator from DAoC. Only class that could scale a castle wall. God I miss that.
Well said
A good thread explains what it is about in the Topic/Title section. Calling a thread Why Why Why is totally pointless and means I really only entered this thread to make this particular point. I care nothing for whatever the OP was taking about as it is not mentioned in the title.
I expect it to show up, it was in daoc and we are on pretty much the same track.
Mounted combat works fine in MMO's just not this mmo.
Right, I wonder if everyone will be able to or only nightblades. Given that only Infiltrators, nightshades, shadowblades could in DAOC
If anything there should be MORE classes and those classes should be slightly more restricted. Why would I want 1 character that can literally do everything in the game? Heres how lord of the rings reads if its written to your style.
Gandalf shows up and fights everything with his swords, teleports the ring into the mountain and slays all the orcs with his wizard spells after healing all the good guys with his cleric powers. Then he becomes a rogue and pick pockets the elves other rings and teleports them into the mountain too. Now hes a wizard again and casts a lightning bolt at the balrog.
seriously what is the appeal of this ultra toon crap? Do you people even like RPGs? Why are you here?
