If they implement dismemberment and don't have an option to disable it, I won't buy it until a dismemberment-disabling mod is released.

If they include sixual acts in the game, I won't buy it no matter what.

Otherwise, I will buy it, hopefully off of Steam.

Its a release day purchase for me definetely, i may even go to one of those midnight release things (which ive never done for a game before).
Why else would i be on these forums if i wasnt planning on buying it?

WEll, I'll certainly be buying - on the day of release

It seems to me that anyone intending not to buy it, and still wasting their time on this forum, needs to get a life

This is exactly the kind of replys i wanted! Finnally a little optimism! Now i will post my reason: Because i had planned on buying it seens i got oblivion :P I knew from the second i touched TES that this was my drug, so i knew if Bethesda was ever gonna make a Elder Scrolls V i would buy it, And look at me now i am sitting here waiting for my pre-ordered Skyrim to come in my Mailbox.

Only reason I wouldn't buy it is if I can't run it on my PC.

(And then, of course, I'd buy it later, once I'd upgraded.)

No because, despite the fact i'm on the Bethesda Forum, I hate Bethesda and everything they do.

To be honest, from what I've seen being added/removed/tweaked, I'm going to say it's debatable at this point. Of course, this is based on my opinion. I'm sure some of you love the things I don't really have a fondness for.

I'll say this. I'll probably end up getting it eventually, but it may (keyword being may) not be on release date, and it may not be at full price (i.e. Steam sale).

Lol'd.

With most games I boycott the CE if it has in game content, but Skyrim is special. Short of adding multiplayer there's nothing that BGS can do to stop me from buying the most expensive edition of the game available.

I'll buy it (on release day, hopefully) because it is an Elder Scrolls game. And because I think it will be awesome.

Because Elder Scrolls opened my eyes to gaming. Literally the games I remember playing before Morrowind was Mario and Counter Strike.

And I've already pre-ordered it.

I will definitely buy it. Played ES since Daggerfall and loved it ever since, never been disappointed yet. :)

I would say that I'm buying it for this reason or that, but they sold me on the teaser trailer release.

I might have my gripes with this or that, but it's still a release day buy for me. TES has given me countless hours of enjoyment, even from Oblivion, a game I found a lot of things in I hated.

But really, Skyrim's looking like a much better game than Morrowind or Oblivion.

The biggest reason for most people is whether or not its gonna require Steam, which is stupid. If you're a fan of the series you'll get no matter what, even if it was made from the skin of dead babies.

For me, I don't see my self not getting it unless the worst should happen, Bethesda changing their game developing philosophy.
