Why I wont buy the game guide

I would suggest the wiki because you can do a search on it so you don't run into a butthole like dave did.
For spoiler-free help I'd say your best bet is still to ask for it here and specify that you don't want spoilers. Because of its nature, the wiki is extremely spoileriffic. It actually spoiled a few major character deaths and plot twists for me (for instance 'I Put A Spell on You' and 'One For My Baby') when I first started playing. :(

I used it like a map now. I used to go to places I've never been. But the guide is supposed to take you step by step, so don't look in there next time. If there is one..

Cheers

I've never bought a game guide, I try and do things for myself but occasionally if I get stuck then it's time to look at the Wiki.......

I have also searched the Forums for answers at times, but I only use it as a last resort.

I personally love guides. The info, artwork and the fact I love books. I still read my fnv guide just for the ambience :)

I'll admit there isn't a need for a game guide but there nice to have lots of information allin the one place and there interesting just to read.

I still hit up the wikis but I just like the feel of a book in my hands. Habit from the old d&d days I guess.

Yeah, I usually look things up in the wiki before I even play. Ruined one of Skyrim's biggest "what the hell?" moment.

Now I restrained myself from reading up wiki until I completed a mission, or if I got stuck, or if it's just a general info. Don't wanna be ruined again.

For example, for I Put A Spell In You. It's really a big "Oh Crap No!" moment. Had I read up about it, it won't be interesting anymore
