im willing to bet that OP is a really devoted fan of another MMO and feels threatened.

I really wonder if the OP is AngryJoe. He's one of the most anti-sub fee people in the world.

A compelling leveling experience is enough to draw players in. I myself plan on enjoying the leveling experience, and abandon the game unless the game manages to convince me to stay during the leveling experiences. If I do stay, and if the end game continues to be compelling, then I will continue paying a subscription for the game until such a time that it is no longer as interesting as other MMOs or single-player games.

Because we can afford to?

If the game works out for me, I'll probably buy from the shop too.

except all the people that will pay and are going to pay...just like the millions of people still playing WoW for dingdingding $15/mo....as well as not counting the other games people pay a monthly sub too. i really wish they had a no [censored]ing policy on this forum. the forums are full of these people. this is not [censored] skyrim online. this is an mmo and you will pay a sub and play or you wont and cry by yourself when the official forums require people to be subbed.

I paid over $400 my first year in the "free to play" World of Tanks. I'm anxious to pay only $180 here, and probably less since I'm sure there will be a yearly subscription.

To each his own I guess.

As far as answering your question...because I want to.

As others have said, $15/month is really not all that much. I'd pay more if the game was good enough. Being a vampire, I don't get out in the sun too much and gaming is my only source of entertainment other than the occasional blood feast. I happily spend my money on it! Frankly, I'm tired of people who "refuse to pay" coming here and [censored]ing about not wanting to pay. If you don't want to pay, don't. Choice is yours.

Alright, alright... Hold on everyone. Geez, I didn't mean to agitate the whole forum. Maybe you guys are right. Maybe, when they game comes to consoles, I'll give it a try. I just got worked up that they attached a monthly fee to it when I was originally excited to play for the normal $65 cost.

There happy? Lol

Indeed. Some people spend their leisure money to buy tickets to watch their team play (at whatever sport they are into). I'm not into that, but if I went around telling sports fans that it was a waste of money and not worth it, I'd quickly (and rightfully) get an earful :D

Pay me $70 and I'll send you an official looking email saying you can log in, then you start spamming the login and pretend the servers are slammed. You'll feel like you're playing and I'll be up $70... win-win!!

I'm curious as to why the OP feels like the game is not up to par. It seems like its prejudging when the only aspect of the issue is derived from video footage.

I think I'd play before finalizing anything.

I paid this amount for subs of MMOs going back ten years. By rights, I should be paying at least double now for an MMO sub. It's a bargain.

Of course, if you want something for nothing, then maybe you could get interested in watching ducks on a pond. I don't think councils charge for access to their duck ponds.

Baroni:
this game will become f2p in some time. You can always wait till then. If you don't like waiting, you will have to pay.

It's waiting or paying, you choose.
