Why would anyone pay monthly to play this

Post » Sat Mar 29, 2014 3:23 am

I don't get it. We're already shelling out for the game. We'd probably buy DLC. No one is going to pay $15/mo even if this is better than Skyrim. I don't know why they're asking this. Skyrim was great but this will have a hard time living up to it. Definitely not worth almost $200 a year on top of the cost of the game.

Simple. No one is forcing you to play. Have a nice day.

Pretty sure your No One argument is all shot to hell already.

So now my name is "no one"? I'll gladly pay for a game worth it. Minimal cost for maximum fun, count me in.

TBH $15/month doesn't even come close to my tolerance for entertainment value.. 1 month access is much less than dinner and a movie.

That's just me, your experience may differ.

Because it is cheap entertainment and the game is pretty good. That's why.

Gaming is my hobby, I earn my own money, the game is pretty much everything I ever wanted, why wouldn't I pay for it?

Thank you for deciding what everyone will or won't pay.

Here the sub is around the same cost as a couple of pints of beer in a pub, and cheaper than a cinema ticket.

I am more than happy to pay, and consider it rather inexpensive entertainment.

Sorry, but this game is not worth over $200 and all I've seen is gameplay footage. It svcks because I'd really like to play another Elder Scrolls game but definitely not paying this much money for it. I already pay for a damn Xbox Live membership. It's stupid

You could very well be correct Baroni88 but until we play it we just don't know. Everyone will have to decide for themselves if it is worth it and if enough people decide that it isn't the game will go the FTP micro-transactions route. Play the first month or two and then decide.

I don't think I am No One... hehe.

Plus this isn't Skyrim. It's not Morrowwind, Oblivion or even Daggerfall.

It's a seperate incarnation of the Elder Scrolls, but on the multiplayer level.

If the game flops, it will go free to play. If it doesn't well... Other games are subscription only still.

Because we don't live in our parents basemant waiting for our allowances. We have jobs, and money, and it IS worth it. A lot more than crappy movies with 3D slapped into the title just to make you pay 10$ extra.

If I only spent 200 dollars for a year of gaming, then I'd consider myself lucky. Lets do some math shall we. Imperial physical edition $108.25 after taxes + $72 for 6 months + $72 for another 6 months = $252.25 for 13 months of game time= ~$19.40 a month or I could buy 4 console games at $65 bucks a pop spend $260 and probably beat all 4 in a month, and people wanna [censored] about 15 a month LOL.

Well don't play it then, no-one is forcing you to! You make a choice that is right for you, and I'll make a choice that is right for me.

I'd pay $15 a month to keep the OP from posting again.

why would\anyone pay $15 a month to play WoW? Even better... Why would someone pay $50 a month for cable tv when Netflix is like $8 a month. Why do some people pay $70-$80 a month for their wireless phone service when StraitTalk is $45?
