Why would I buy DLC when the game is buggy?

Post » Mon Jul 12, 2010 3:28 am

I'm not sure how many people bought Dead Money but I hope it's not many.
It's been how many months since the game was released. My current save game still has the same issue with the same quests.
So either I'm expected to drop my 60 hour game and start over to fix the bugs or the bugs haven't been fixed.
Either way the game isn't all that playable thanks to the game being pushed out without enough testing.
So why would I buy the DLC?

Why are you asking? Do you actually want us to give you reasons to buy it? It seems you can determine in this situation whether you want the DLC yourself. By the way, Dead Money itself is less buggy than the game (from my experience).

To op In all honesty on ps3 Dead Money was not buggy at all. I seriously can t remember freezing or getting choppy at all. Now the main game is pretty bad once I have about 8000kb of info.

Game play in dead money is more about taste. I liked it on HC mode "the cloud" drains your hp like mad. You ll be walking around with 42 hp alot, because they take all your stuff. I can t tell you if you ll like it or not, but can tell you it was very clean on PS3.

Dead money was ok in my opinion. But if your looking for a better DLC then wait for the next one. Because it looks like its gonna be good.

They have patched the majority of the issues with the game look it up its ridiculous the amount of stuff thats been fixed, and yes there still are bugs some people have a ton of issues others have none. As for dead money yeag I bought it and thought it was an excellent bit of story and certainly a lot different feel than the mojave. As for why you would buy it seems like you've already made up your mind if the games really so bad don't play it.

Come on the game isn't that buggy. Just patch it and get bugfix mods if you're on PC.

The game freezes on me every 2 to 3 hours and I can live with that....I think Dead Money only froze once maybe twice the entire playthrough....

Had no issues with Dead Money but that's cause it's a small map. Never had issues in small map areas like inside building and such. Most issues occur in large areas, New Vegas, Mojave Wasteland, Hoover Dam, Fortification Hill.

Once I get halfway though the game that happens to me to but only when the game loads a new area. Dead Money didn't freeze on mine. But Raul's personal quest got [censored] on my game after I got the first or second patch not to sure which one it was

very glitchy that dlc. The worst part about it is that you have to play through it all once you start it. And its like 5 hours.

Wiki entrys with dozens of known bugs listed looks really bad. And community bugfixes doesn't cover all of them.

The same exact reason people bought Fallout 3's DLC even when it was extremely buggy.

Funny I was on my 2nd charecter on xbox when my third one broke down, and I can remember freezing and choppiness once about 150-175 hrs in just like on ps3.

Every game ever released in the history of mankind has bugs. Deal with it. If you can't then start collecting stamps or something.

Its a bug with the engine the larger your save file gets the less stable the engine is so it's going to be across the systems, although I had a lot of issues around 30 hours on one file but after I hit 40 it's been pretty good with only the occasional choppiness or vats slowdown. Its really a matter of lucky whether its buggy or not I had a ton of freezes and glitches for a while and almost none since, all of my friends that have it haven't had any issues at all.

Same here, I had no crashes or lag in Dead Money but when I got back to the wasteland it started happening all over again. :(

Well the fact that so many people answered with really stupid responses tells me why FNV doesn't work. People keep buying the crap regardless of whether or not it works. Rampant fanboyism ftl.
