Post » Thu Jul 15, 2010 10:09 pm

if ulysses wants the courier dead why tell him to go back im thinking he might be a friend and there is a diffrent courier to come across all i know is if i was ulysses id hunt the courier down shoot him till i run out of ammo chop the body up and feed it to the mole rats. i dont think if ulysses wanted the courier dead he woud take the chance on him getting killed over a package i cant wait to find out the story behind it all

He is most likely playing mind games with the courier the courier most likely doe's not remember who Ulysses is,hence the back story of the DLC is the tale of Two Couriers trying to find each other.Maybe in Old world blues if it is set
in the Big Empty we may have a run in with Ulysses and he knocks the courier unconscious or something in that area, and via logs , we find he was planning on going to the divide and knew the courier would follow and is discouraging him from following him hence, GO HOME Courier! anyway we will find out eventually.

Reverse-psychology.. He WANTS me to come after him... Idiot doesn't know just WHO he is messing with...
I'm going to take that flag, and shove it right where the sun don't shine!!

I hope this guy is reasonably tough/clever.. Not just some punk with a barely effective melee weapon..

IF Ulysses is the main DLC enemy, I want him to be level 55 and packing one HELL of a punch!

If he doesn't kill me at least once I'm going to be upset.

Where IS the Courier's home? Maybe it's beyond the graffiti.

Is it certain that is was ulysses in the first place, or someone that talked with him and decided to warn the courier? Not sure about that. Just asking...

I have a feeling Ulysses is more kind hearted than people think. I mean, He saved Christine at the Big empty and tried to kill Elijah. I think the DLC might be karma/rep related some how.

My theory is that it was a different courier that killed Ulysses's friend and he just mistakenly identifies you as the courier that killed his friend and swears revenge against you.

I would really love something that actually has to do with Karma in NV I mean really there isnt alot to do with your karma its all about factions now

I'm guessing it will be one of those "We are destined to fight, I must fight you even though I got nothing against you"

Or someone is tricking him or focing them to fight.

Or the fight is something else entirely.

Maybe there will be a grand battle at the end of story, and Ulysses does not wish courier getting kill in this battle.

Or Ulysses might fight against all faction including Yes Man, and he does not want the courier involve in it.

Ulysses and the courier are actually inter-dimentional beings. He wants the courier to go back and check his e-mail, make sure the stove is off and feed the dog.

i think ulyisses is The Courier older brother and hes gone there to do a job and is telling us to go home because he dont want little brother tagging along getting in the way. thats why he told Johnson Nash to let us take the chip job to keet me busy and out of the way the to might meet in a battle they might be on the same side or diffrent sides to start with but i dont think they will kill each other im thinking where ulyisses has gone hes not expecting to come back from hope the will be more hints in Honest Hearts somone saved the burned man mayby it was ulyisses

Because Ulysses is a racist. He's telling the Courier to go back to his "home" in europe, that damned whitey.

Ok, so you're saying in this post nuclear world....that they somehow made it from europe ALL THE WAY TO NEW VEGAS...errrm no that'd take forever.

Ulysses and The Courier are actually one in the same.
The Courier merely has multiple personality disorder .
He runs around the wasteland chasing an enemy that isn't there, and leaving "clues" only for himself to find later.
I can't believe this hasn't become obvious to you guys yet.

Johnson Nash was experiencing a very bad case of PTSD after being trapped in the casino and hiding from the Powder Gangers.
His memory would be diluted.
