Why would I want Ulfrics sweaty clothes?

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 1:24 pm

Ulfric was captured before the Imperial City was taken by the Aldmeri Dominion.

And the Stormcloaks can't even beat a single under-strength legion on their own without divine aid.

And we're supposed to believe Ulfric's going to be the one to beat the Dominion? Right, and you wonder why I think Stormcloak plans post civil war are fanciful at best. :tops:

There is proof of this.

1) Carlotta in Whiterun claims the Stormcloaks smell

2) The Imperials in taken towns can still smell the Stormcloaks awful stench.

The again flithy dogs typically stink

I dont usually strip my victims unless its someone i really hate like nazeem or grelod the "kind". I will then dump their half naked body in some odd place like in the fire place, on the dining table or across the well.

Ulfic IMO has no honour. He used the thuum on the high king which did not master the thuum. Thats kind of like shooting an unarmed old lady with a 12 gauge shotgun. Therefore to me, he doesnt deserve any dignity. Dumped his naked butt across the dining table at windhelm!

The dossier only says he was captured during the campaign for White Gold Tower. He probably fought to the end to protect the Imperial City and probably was badly injured to the point where he could be taken alive. Given his personality that very much possible. Of course we don't know for sure, but to use him getting captured because he help defend the Imperial city to argue against him is laughable.

The Legion can't beat the Stormcloaks without divine aid either and the funny fact is that says more about the legion than it does the Stormcloaks. The Empire's own professional, well armed, disciplined and versetile fighters cannot beat an army made up of Nord farmers, barmaids, drunkards and old vets

Nobody says that Ulfric is to take on the Dominion alone. Even the most suicidal Nord who yearns for a quick ticket to Sovngarde is smart enough to know that Skyrim needs allies.

We know very well that Ulfric was taken before the fall of White-Gold. How else would they be able to lead him to believe his information was vital in the capture of the Imperial City if he was captured during it's defense? Logic.

And no, it doesn't say anything about the legion at all. It's one, under-strength and under-equipped legion. The Empire could have very easily crushed the Stormcloaks, we know it and Ulfric knows it, but if they had have actually sent a full Legion alongside Tullius' then we wouldn't have had a TES V: Skyrim to begin with.

A "Prisoner of WAR" during the campaign for WHITE GOLD TOWER. I didn't say that Ulfric was captured after the fall of the Imperial city. What I meant by "him fighting till the end for the defence of the city" is that he probably gave all he could before he was overwhelmed and then captured. We don't have proof that he was a high ranking officer during the battle so it's not like a whole squadron is going to be fighting just to protect him.

Actually it does, the Stormcloak army only comprises less than half of Skyrim and have nowhere near the supplies and resources that the Empire has access too. Why else do you think Ulfric wants Markarth so badly? If the Empire does decide to deploy more troops into Skyrim, they will only leave themselves more vulnerable to the Thalmor who've already demonstrated how easy it is to march on Cyrodill.

In all honesty I think you might be misunderstanding me especially on the part about Ulfric during the Great War.

Yes, but most of the Legion in Skyrim are brand spanking new recruits. They're not professionals yet.

You can't change his mind. All these stormcloak guys here think the Legion is weak based off the reqruits in Skyrim and a few towns being ransacked when the Empire is to busy licking it's wounds. Totally uncalled for.

They will soon learn a few years from now how wrong they were.

Where do you see me saying in this thread that the Legions are all weaklings? I said it's funny that the more better equipped and managed Legions are having a having a hard time dealing with a milita made up of people who are farmers, maids and some stereotypical Nords.

Not in this thread, from many other threads, and it's not just you either. You all seem to think the Empire is weak when it isn't. The Empire is a coalition of many differant races. Call the Empire weak and you're calling nearly every race weak. We all want the same goal here but instead stupid in-fighting has to take place.

In the other threads I was calling the Imperials as a race as wholly incompetent not the Imperial Legion itself.

Seriously though why can't we all just call them Cyrodillics instead of Imperials BAH Bethesda why you gotta confuse people!

Please look at your quote and then this http://oi40.tinypic.com/30c7kty.jpg until the following message clicks.

The Imperials are not warriors, we are politicians and scholars. We are not made to fight, we are made to plan the fights that others are more suited to fight. That is our role and we are good at it. Just as most Nords are aren't good leaders but great warriors.

If the Imperials were so great in politics and scholarship then we wouldn't be dealing with all this crap. I don't expect a fish to climb a tree but I expect it to be able to swim at least. The Altmer outdid you above and beyond in the only thing you were supposedly good at. Keep in mind all the political achievements, conquest and success of the this Empire was thanks to you guessed it... A Nord. :ahhh:

Nords are better warriors than Imperials?

Nords get: +10 to Two-handed, +5 to Block, Light Armor, One-handed, Smithing and Speech

Imperials get: +10 Restoration, +5 to block, destruction, enchanting, one-handed and heavy armor.

Words can't sovle everything. Thats why we have our Imperial Legion to protect our great Empire. The Empire and the Dominion are an equal fighting force, if we weren't the Empire wouldn't be here today. They cushed our forces and we gave as good as we got otherwise they would have finsihed the job. The Empire is far from weak, we just met our match.

Gameplay =/= Lore.

Otherwise console commands have more power than any God does in Tamriel

Considering lore doesn't depict Imperials as inferior warriors.... in this case, we have a matching gameplay == lore scenario. :P

At the same time if we had top notch warriors we would not have needed the Nords to bail the Imperial City out.
