But really, can we go a week without this kind of thread?

If you want to make one, go to Fallout 3's forum.

No, Obsidian was never responsible for QA or BT, that was all Bethesda. You can't ignore those facts, and if you do then you would lose all credibility.

There job could have been made alot harder tho if the game was given to them in a terrible state ( obsidian has hardly got a good reputation )
I have to laugh at all you guys calling yourself dinosaurs and old gamers. your all between 16 and 24. hardly old school LOL

We have been gaming alot longer than most people here, I havn't as long as others but I'm 25 which seems to dwarf alot of the users on this forum.

Also jesus, Obsidian has decent BT and QA on certain teams.

What good would a thread complaining about the hard ending of NV do in the FO3 forum? Wrong game old bean.

Still, this turned out to be a spiffing thread, top-notch discussion all round, well done everyone, well done.

Obsidian isn't without faults too, but that still leaves Bethesda responsible for the crappily crap Quality Assurance, wheter you like it or not. Deal with it.

I have to laugh(but I actually don't) at people like you, always diverting the topic to the usual insults about the age. I am 26 by the way.

Threads similar to this always try to compare this game to Fallout 3, because it followed the example of Fallout 1 and 2 instead.

If people want to complain about how this game didn't do something like Fallout 3, I think it would be more well recieved and suitable for that section.

Maybe not ancient old school gamers. (I'm not, I've never played Wasteland. (Although I would love to play it.))
But I am an old school gamer when compared to todays games.
Baldurs Gate, Fallout, Icewind Dale, Torment, Popolus, Little Big Adventure, Chrono Trigger.
Most games nowadays svck when compared to those.

Yah i wouldnt get ahead of yourself there.

They do though, only games I look forward to right now is:
Borderlands 2, unannounced but I'm sure a sequel is coming along, why I look forward to it? Because it's a franchise which doesn't try to take itself seriously, it's just plain fun, especially online.
Skyrim, while I look forward to it I'm sure it'll be dumbed down and more "epic awesome!" than actually a good RPG.
Fallout 4, I look forward to see if Bethesda learned a lesson, but I honestly see Fallout 4 to be even worse than Fallout 3.
Saints Row 3, same as Borderlands, just a game with fun written all over it, no immersion crap, no realism, no drama, just fun around every corner.

So only Borderlands and Saints Row is actually looking promising for me.
All other games... svck.
