I actually didn't know that TES orcs were elves. I did read alot of the books about the Falmer and Dwemer when I was doing quests in their dungeons though, so I knew the part about the Falmer being snow elves once.
But, another good point is that orcs are elves-no-more.
I consider this, to compare to actual human history, much like how Homo Sapiens evolved and how Homo Sapiens after all replaced neanderthals and Homo Erectus worldwide.
From my orc'ish point of view, the elves are like neanderthals, and orcs evolved from them into Homo Sapiens... and now, sorry, but evolution, Darwin, survival of the fittest and all that... elves have to stand aside, or be axed aside, for the greater good, for the orcs, for Malacath and for Tamriel.
Next time I'll line up some Bosmers while Aela makes me dinner.
Oh, and by the way, Aela thanks you unevolved elves for her new set of armor. Cheers

// on a more serious note though I should read up on the TES lore more. I played Morrowind only briefly years ago. Only picked up Oblivion just after summer this year to get into the whole TES games prior to Skyrim being released. So if anyone knows some good and informative lore sites I'd love to snoop at those

I quite enjoy learning about the different gods, especially in the way you get to know about them through quests in Skyrim. But I prefer to read / learn about it one topic at a time, not just bits and pieces about everything (like you can read about it in the books). That's why I loved the quests in the dwemer ruins since you picked up alot of information about dwemer and falmer as you went along. Put me right into that "exploring the ancient dwarves" mood
