This is a simple question, what alliance do you want to join and why?

I am having a hard time deciding between the Daggerfall Covenant and the Ebonhart Pact and I am just wondering why you have chosen the faction you are joining. Even the people joining the Aldmeri Dominion, though I personally doubt I would ever join them, I am still curious as to why others have.

I'm gonna side with the AD because I like the idea of elves being a dominant force.

Style. I like the Argonian style and lore, and they're a part of the Ebonheart Pact (which has the ideological thinking I like). If I could choose a different alliance, I wouldn't.
If I was going to play a Daggerfall race, I would probably want to switch to Ebonheart Pact and fight for the freedom of others.

Hate the Aldmeri Dominion, but I am fine with Daggerfall members so long as it is not only trade they believe should be free.

im having the hardest time deciding. i will some up my troubles. i want to play a redguard, i also want to revisit morrowind for the nostalgia, and i really want to see what elswyer would look like.

I'm a proud Breton and I will fight for the Daggerfall Covenant. Only High King Emeric is really fighting for mankind. How can the Nords pretend to be doing so while allying with beasts and elves?

Aldmeri Dominion because Elves are the master race, though the Dark Elves sadly aren't in it. But I like the Bosmers!

It all depends on my character. I will make several characters. No different than I make any other character in TES. It depends on their personality profile and their backstory. The character concept(s) I have for now, have no interest in the war effort. They are... un lobo solitario.

I am a Tribunal loyalist and whoever they side with, I shall side with as well. So unless something MAJOR changes down the line, EP for me.

I'm going with the Aldmeri Dominion mainly because I want to see the Summerset Isles and Valenwood. Also, I only play TES games with meri characters, Altmer and Bosmer being my favourite races (I had characters that were Dunmer and Orsimer too, but I don't like them nearly as much). To top that, my best friends are going either with Altmer or Bosmer, too. All of my friends decided their races before they knew that they would be able to play any race on any alliance if they preordered, so we were all already used to the idea of fighting for the Aldmeri Dominion.

But as I said in another thread already, I might make a Dunmer just to see Riften early in the game, but I will probably delete the character later on.

Because us nords dont want to be ruled by any empire along with the Dunmer and argonians.We also see that molag bal is the bigger threat in this picture. The dominion and covenant only wish to rule others sounds greedy and wicked. For freedom and independence!

Well, I'm all for the Aldmeri Dominion,

The theory most others will give is that because they live longer, they are much more 'wise'. I, for the most part, agree with this statement.

However, Altmer often live within the confines of the summerset Isles, and often live in luxury and under strict rule sets, and view their dated traditions as the only 'right' way to do things; combine this with their (possibly earned) high and tradition nature that stems from their culture, and you get a rather....arrogant race. Their queen is said to be a prime example of 'proper wisdom' as she's been out to explore the world and meet other races/people.

I, for one, am only in it for the pride of the khajiiti. (Potential future) Conspiracies aside, the Queen has brought support to the khajiiti people. Plus, garnering the favor of the elves (both bosmer and altmer) has never harmed anyone....especially if they win. That is not to say that i'm 100% sure that they will treat us that nicely, but....

I'd rather be at the foot of a filth-concerned primpy altmer, than at the pure scorn of a bigoted nord's muddy boots.

In other words: the Aldmeri Dominion seemed like the 'best' choice for me. Every other choice had less favorable prospects.

But as a player: Im only with the AD for the khajiits. Yeah, I gave you both a lore IC stand-point and a player standpoint. I couldn't tell which one the OP wanted.

Well King Emeric is not really fighting for "mankind" per se... he's fighting for Fair Trade and Open Commerce. And the Nords, being practical people, are allied with those that they've fought along side in the past.

i wanted to join the AD because of the no human thing, that of course dont matter anymore. so now i fight for the AD for absolutely no reason at all

there really is no reason to pick a faction other than the symbol. do you want to be with the lions, dragons, or eagle(phoenix?)

I know this is not their goal really, but it is still what they are doing: humans fighting together against elves. Don't get me wrong though, I might as well make an elf in the Dominion and fight those silly men! lol maybe I'm bipolar or something.

To me the DC looks like the only faction that does not really care about race.

Yes, Orcs are mer (orsimers), though you will never hear an orc calling himself an elf and no elves will ever consider orcs as one of their kin.

I don't know. Can I kick Altmer out and form Valenwood-Elsweyr confederacy? It would be nice.

I like the concept of elven supremacy, but I'm not passionate enough to fight for it. The ideology of Daggerfall Covenant is the most attractive. Bosmer are my favourite race. I could pre-order and play a Bosmer in DC, but I'd rather stick to the main races in each alliance and not go cross-faction. Eh. I should just roll an Argonian and let both AD and DC go to hell. Of course then I wouldn't be able to kill Nords and this is unacceptable.
