Why is YOUR character in prison?

Post » Mon Nov 22, 2010 11:02 pm

When you start Skyrim, you'll find your character in a prison cell. How did he or she get there? GO!

Well that would depend on who has him imprisoned! Is he locked up by the authorities or is he enslaved by some rogue bandit somethings?

I imagine my Dovahkiin could get into a bar fight. Maybe that's how :o

And then when his mom finds out she'll be like: "Is it possible that one can inherit the tenancy to land themselves in prison!!" (cause she was the 'Hero of Kvatch")

My Khajiit Assassin? Caught mid-assassination on a noble, then given the death sentence.

My Altmer Fire Mage? He stole some sweet rolls from the general store....LOLNAAAHH! He burned down a small village, including an orphanage. :flamethrower:

Understandably, it's 200 years after Oblivion, so either they eventually became immortal after the events of Shivering Isles, or my Khajiit Assassin became a vampire in his lust for power, or my Fire Mage created some spell to stretch his life.

But like my transition from Morrowind to Oblivion, Skyrim will just have my characters as new faces, descendants of the prequel character. Both deciding upon their fighting art and lifestyle, only to make a mistake during their rise to power and becoming imprisoned because of it.

I was accused of killing a old man with his trophy head while he was reading his book. The strangely fully armed nord "butler" supposedly seent me do it, it was because I am dunmer.

The most cliche reason of all time: In prison for a crime I didn't commit.

Yeah! All around in my home town, They're tryin' to track me down; They say they want to bring me in guilty for the killing of a deputy, for the life of a deputy.

But I say: I shot the sheriff. Oh, Lord! But I swear it was in self-defence.
I say: I shot the sheriff, but I swear it was in selfdefence.

All of a sudden I saw sheriff John Brown aiming to shoot me down, so I shot - I shot - I shot him down and I say: If I am guilty I will pay.

I shot the sheriff, but I say, but I didn't shoot no deputy. - That's how I ended up in prison.

prison beds looked more comfortable than the streets, annoyed the guards til they arrested me, then a few weeks later got confused for one of the many other bearded guys serving time and ended up on a chopping block. still, got fed and had somewhere to sleep.

My barbarian Nord stole some stuff from some influential person, my nord later spent the gold he got from the pawnbroker(who ratted him out) in this tavern, guards barge in to arrest him, drunk off his skull my thieving nord rushes up, drawing his sword throwing himself at the guards, but he's so drunk that he smashes his head into this wooden thing in the ceiling, an impact that would have killed a civilized man, but just rendered this nord unconscious, enabling the guards to carry him off to a cell, awaiting execution.

Unpaid parking fines. I got 30 days after double parking my Mammoth mount once too often and forgetting to pay the fine.

Damn those pesky Parking Wardens.

Well its a long story, and one which I hope to tell over the next several months in the Fan Fiction portion of these forums. It will follow a series of events and several characters lives leading up to the opening events of Skyrim.

Some of the more notable characters planned for the tale are:

--Hrorgard Wind-Maker...a Nord Warrior trying to earn a living as best he can, while staying out of the escalating tension and civil disputes going on between the feuding holds.
--Gah Baljah...a male argonian who has been illegally and unjustly forced to do the bidding of a notorious Dunmer family.
--S'Razirr-Dar...a khajiit thief, who stumbles upon the treasure of a lifetime.
--Farlomir...a Bosmer assasin and thief; deadly with a bow.
--Hembleck the Whisperer...little is known of Hembleck, but rumor has it he turned his back on the Greybeards long ago.
--Bandis Ramoran...a noble Dunmer knight of House Redoran, and hailing from Blacklight. He seeks to forge a new alliance and bring his displaced and devastated race back into a position of prominence within a newly formed Empire of his own making.
--Murlak Gro-Ghorak...along with his brother Mazlak, these two Orcs head the Bur-Aldazar Tong; a crime syndicate dominating Whiterun's underworld.

'The Chains of Destiny'...an unofficial prelude to TES V: Skyrim, chapter 1 coming soon.

All I am going to say is this: That's the LAST time I do a favor for Sheogorath! Who would have thought that building a giant magic laser that turns everyone in Skyrim into chickens would count as Treason? Seriously, THAT'S IN THE CHARTER AS AN ACT OF TREASON!

...I think he don't like me.

Depends on which character I'm going to create.

If it's the Nord, it would be because he and his band of mercenaries were hired by a stranger to attack a supposed bandit hideout, which actually turned out to be a camp for a travelling nobleman and his entourage. Guards promptly swarmed and surrounded the mercenaries and dragged them off to prison.

If it's the Dunmer, he was arrested for murder and arson after someone in an inn taunted him about his past.

This again?

Possibilities:
1. Penetrating the king's daughter, wife and horse... twice...
2. Pimping Fargoth as a prosttute for female nobles.
3. Finally finding a way to permanently kill the Adoring Fan.
4. Destroying Morrowind (I swear it was an accident! How could I have known an earthquake spell could set off a volcano?)
5. Usurping the throne of a Daedric prince.
6. Surviving for 200 years and not leaving space in this mortal plane for someone else.
7. Completing Sanguine's quest (they finally found me!).

Public indecency :hubbahubba: I don't like the fact you are getting executed, it means you had to have committed a more heinous crime than I would have liked too have written for my character

Maybe your character was arrested by a guard working for an extremely ruthless guy. Or perhaps he has a thing against public indecency.
