Alright, time to think..
My character(Nord) was exploring Riverwood looking to buy a longsword so he can begin his exploration. His father before him had been an adventurer and he had always wanted to follow in his footsteps. He enters the Blacksmith shop to find the shop owner dead on the floor. A child helper comes down from the top floor, seeing my character standing over his dead body. The child screams and the town guard storms in. Since I have no evidence to prove me innocent, I am taken to prison for murder.
What do you guys think?
What about your guy getting hired to protect the blacksmith during the night against a few guys he was afraid would try to murder him, however when you arrive at the evening he has already been murdered hours ago. You draw your sword, in case any more assassins lure around in the corners when a child comes from outside to... Take a delivery from there or to there? Doesnt matter, anyways, the kid sees you, he sees your drawn sword and he sees the dead man.
The child screams and the town guard storms in. Since you have no evidence to prove yourself innocent, you are taken to prison for murder. The guard and court propably arnt to keen to go on and INVESTIGATE stuff, so you propably get thrown into a dungeon with a death sentence quickly ordered.
Or EVEN better, an assassin WAS left in the room, jumps forward to knock you when you draw your sword, then you cut him in the arm and he flees out from there. Then the kid comes in and sees the BLOODY sword and all that and we all know what happens next!
