For me? Winged humanoid.
In all fairness, usually I look almost human. It's just my eyes which give me away, and I can hide those with sunglasses or contact lenses.
I do notice that I have very pale skin, though that can probably be chalked up to the fact that my blood isn't red.

On the occasions when I don't have wings (which, to reiterate, is most of the time), I instead have their (stylized) approximations tattooed on my shoulder blades. They're pretty cool.
In fact, I'm planning on having them done Fo Realz as a 25th birthday present to myself.

When I do have wings... well, my codename is 'Serif' for a reason. >.>
I don't have a measuring tape, but I'd say they span about sixteen feet from tip to tip. Solid black, feathery, and broad; http://blog.oregonlive.com/news_impact/2009/07/condor.JPG, if you omit the white parts.

As for my daydream world physical appearance, it's basically the same as how I look in real life, except that I'm a bit more muscular due to the nature of my job. It's the powers that truly make me different.

So, what kinds of non-humans do you guys become in dreams? I tend to go from meta-human (vampires before they were sparkly idiots, half-alien) to only vaguely humanoid (the dunmer/deathclaw hybrid). In rare occasions, I'll even be an animal. Haven't been a furry yet, thankfully.

It varies, widely. I've been a simple vampire, and a ghost a couple times. One of my favorites was a dream I had as a little kid where I was a http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20060320202655/aliens/images/6/69/AVP_Xenomorph.jpg with invisibility powers. In a couple I've been a kraken, and I vaguely recall once being some kind of odd bat/moth creature. Pretty sure I've been a winged serpent with a vaguely humanoid upper half once or twice. Another time was just some sort of "supernatural being" I have no specific name for, about three times as tall as a human with turqoise skin, mostly covered with elaborate robes and trinkets. Not unlike http://titanquest.ic.cz/section/screen/fsk/2/Telkine-Master.jpg.

When I'm human but not me, well...that's pretty much it, someone who's not me. Man, woman, fat, thin, athlete, crippled, black, white, and so on. My subconscious seems to have a very poor grasp of who or what I am.

I dreamed that I needed the toilet but when I opened the bathroom door, I saw a big barrel filled with crabs and lobsters (I have a phobia of crustaceans) and there was only a tiny gap between that and the wall so I had to squeeze past if I needed the toilet. If that wasn't bad enough, the barrel was also on fire for some reason. After seeing this I simply closed the door and continued with what I was doing earlier.

Is there any rhyme or reason to why the wings appear? Can you just, like, will them into existence? What's different about eye color?

Woah. That's just... pretty far out there. Winged serpent with human shape? Quetzalcoatl?

I'm guessing you must be one of the many half eldritch-spawn on these forums.

So far, we've confirmed that both you and Turns-the-Page are on the list. Maybe me. Hrm.

Yep, pretty much this. It's mostly a conscious decision, as in 'I have to get from point A to point B in X amount of time and driving is too slow'.
...Or if I feel like puffing myself up in an intimidating manner. >.>

But it can also be completely unconscious- if, for example, I am in the process of falling out a twentieth-story window.

What's different about eye color?

It's not so much 'color', per se. It's more that the pupils are vertical slits.
Like a kittycat's. :3

Nah, not like Quetzalcoatl. Not feathered or as decorated. The back half resembled a giant snake, the top half resembled a humanoid torso with arms, but still scaled, with the face also half human/snake. The wings were more like leathery bat/dragon wings.

As for half-eldritch spawn, well, you've seen some of my less happy dream content. Probably not the kind of stuff that belongs anywhere near Earth.

Hrm. Some days, I really wondered if maybe there are people out there... and then I met Turns-the-Page and you and I knew for sure that the world is populated by people who are spawned of elder monstrosities.

I wonder if I'm one of them. I'm pretty sure I can't be an objective judge of this.

That sounds like a Lamia, though as I recall they were all female. :0

As to the 'spawn of eldritch monstrosities' bit... well, as the Bard had it, "more things on Heaven and Earth...".
That would be awesome if it were true.

Nah, I doubt it. Usually they're all about the "you get to die first" type of reward. Unless that attention results in me finally shedding my useless humanity to dance upon the spidery bleeding legs of madness. Because I'd totally be rubbing that in your jealous face.

Hey, as long as I keep my own identity, I really don't care what body I inhabit. Although this current shell is really cramping my style.

I think I have as many dreams that involve me trying to become something else as I do dreams where I am something else. I just really don't like the H. Sapiens experience. Locomotion is weird (not the fluidity or cilia or tentacles and is energy inefficient), outer structure is weak, a half-assed attempt at fangs is our only defense, and the aesthete just doesn't suit me (more skin tones in the palette and please try to add some decent claws and fangs). Our only winning traits are our big brains, ability to manipulate tools (octopi have both of those), and our amazing abilities as endurance hunters.

I mean, come on. If my imagination makes a better predator, then you're in big trouble.

It's Metrophor's scary futuristic dream world/city. I believe she's some sort of asassin working for a big company in a city called Midpoint. She visits it every night when she goes to sleep. :)

This is what you get when you play too much Oblivion while watching the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy before bed. I'm so happy I can remember my dreams with almost all details intact.

I was playing a game, which of course turned out to be Oblivion. I was actually IN the game myself instead of being glued to the screen of my monitor, even though I could still access all the menus. I was standing at the end of a long dock staring at the beach of a small haven. The reason I knew I was in Oblivion was because I pressed ‘R’ to switch to third person and I found out I was apparently playing as a male Redguard with dreadlocks.

So I started making my way to the beach. I then saw a woman with a young girl around 8 years old or so. The woman threw her kid into the sea, screaming “Help! Help! My daughter is drowning! There are sharks here! D:”. Instead of wondering why she threw her kid into shark-infested waters, I jumped into the sea, grabbed the girl and swam to the beach like the good Redguard I am. There, I just dumped her and made my way to the other side of the haven where there were more docks.
At one of the docks was this half-finished ship, so I went to take a look. And who was building the ship? Yes, Jack Sparrow XD. So I addressed him.
Jack: Why, hello there, luv. Came to look at me ship, eh? She’s a real blah blah blah rum blah blah blah more rum blah blah savvy?
And then… Jack’s moustache disappeared._.
Me: Dammit! Oblivion is glitching again! >< *reloads save, ‘cause apparently I had saved my game after saving the girl from evil sharks.*

After loading I found myself at the beach again, so I made my way to Jack’s ship and talked to him. Of course, he said the same things as before.
Jack: Why, hello there, luv. Came to look at me ship, eh? She’s a real blah blah blah rum blah blah blah more rum blah blah savvy?
And then… his beard-bangles disappeared! D:
Me: Raaaah! Stupid Oblivion!
So I reloaded my save again, went to Jack’s ship and talked to him.
Jack: Why, hello there, luv. Came to look at me ship, eh? She’s a real blah blah blah rum blah blah blah more rum blah blah savvy?
And my game DIDN’T glitch! Huzzah!
Me: I savvy. So… Jack-
Jack: Oi! That'd be Captain Jack Sparrow, luv!
Me: Sorry. So, Captain Sparrow. Where’s the rest of your crew?
Jack: Got eaten by the Kraken, luv. That’s why I’m rebuilding me ship ‘ere, savvy?
Me: … all by yourself?
Jack: I can build a ship perfectly fine by meself, ‘cause I’m Captain Jack Sparrow!
Me: I savvy… need any help?
Jack: Sure.

And I just walked away XD And for some reason the girl I had saved earlier was constantly following me. I made my way to one of the lookout-posts, which held a huge telescope used to spot evil pirate ships at sea. We – the girl and me – went in, and inside were two Norrington-wannabees.
I wanted to look through their telescope so I asked if that was alright. It was, and I looked.
In the far distance I saw this guy – which turned out to be Sao-Feng, the Sinagpore pirate captain from the third movie – followed by a huge army of evil pirates. They had no ship, but were walking on water ._.
I panicked, going “They’re going to kill us! I must warn Jack! D:”.

I ran back to Jack’s ship.
Me: Yo Jack! We gotta go! Now!
Jack: And why is that, luv?
Me: Because this evil dude pirate captain thing is coming to kill YOU and then ME and then we all DIE and I can’t DIE yet because I want to finish this bloody GAME!
Jack: No worries, luv. Your pirate-man will get us out!

And so we sailed away from the beach on a ship that was only half-completed. And then… came the dreaded SCENE-CHANGE!
I was still on the ship, together with the Jack, the girl and – for some reason – Elizabeth. We were no longer at sea, but sailing on a wild river in the middle of the jungle. Jack and I had to steer the ship together because Jack hadn’t installed the steering wheel yet, so we each had to stand at one side of the ship, and pull the sails to steer.
At one point the river split itself: the right arm slowly went down a mountain, and the left arm went straight ahead. The obvious choice would be to take the left arm, me thinks.
Jack: Oi! No no no no no! We gotta take the RIGHT arm, luv!
Me: Are you bloody crazy?! I don’t wanna go down there! We go LEFT!
Jack: I’m the Captain and this is MY ship! We go RIGHT!
Me: I’m too young to die! LEFT!
Jack: RIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!
Aaaaaaaaaaand, the ship went LEFT! XD I win, ha!
Jack was going all, “We’re going to diiiieeee!” and the ship sped up. And it was then I understood why Jack wanted to take the right arm. While the right arm would’ve taken us slowly down the mountain, the left arm ended in a waterfall.

And so, down we went. Jack screamed like a girl XD Then again, so did I. The girl and Elizabeth had apparently lost their voices. The ship broke into a thousand of pieces when we hit the water, but we were still alive. Jack and I were clinging to this piece of wood (nobody cared where the girl and Elizabeth had ended up), drifting through this thick bamboo forest.
I was all like, “We have no ship. We’re going to diiiiieeee!”.
Jack: No worries luv. Your pirate-man will build us a new ship. Right here. Right now. =D

And then… my alarm clock woke me up ><

OK. Inhuman dreamers. Membership; 3.

I'm very rarely anything but me in my dreams. Occasionally I'll be in situations or time periods that I wouldn't normally be in, but I nearly always feel like me. The only exceptions are when I'm a ghost or similar entity, and that's not very often. usually I'm just me, with a Messiah complex. :P Its hard not to have one when my dreams' main recurring theme is a totalitarian state with a resistance movement run by Iggy Pop and Beryl Reid.

On the occasions when I don't have wings (which, to reiterate, is most of the time), I instead have their (stylized) approximations tattooed on my shoulder blades. They're pretty cool.
In fact, I'm planning on having them done Fo Realz as a 25th birthday present to myself.

an aztec werewolf. i have pieces of glowing stone armor connected to most of my body, the helmet resembles an even more beastly animals head with glowing holograms on its eyes...i'm sort of reminded of the dwemer armor when i think of it, but its much more complicated in its design. it looks be modular, like i can take parts off and on when i please, and the pieces line up on these grooves where power flows to the suit, like a stone power armor. pieces in like the legs or chest are grafted to the bones(or maybe they are born with them, i dont know) but it had tones of inscriptions and murals on other parts of the suit.

that or i'm a sergeant Piers Arkan...or a Helghast trooper...

Wait, so Sgt. Piers Arkan is a creation of your dreams? Or is it like that disturbing catgirl in your avatar?

Also... Aztec Werewolf is almost as badass as kitty-eyed seraph and flying serpent. Definitely a notch above Dunmer/Deathclaw hybrid. But that's OK. I still like being a Dunmer/Deathclaw hybrid in my dreams.

nope, totally different character than lucrezia...another creation entirely..

i actually drew one of the guns that Piers would be carrying...looked like a circuit board...

even worse is when i have dreams of the machetes that Piers has as he moves through this jungle. like one of the machetes is made of stone and is split down the center, its connected to his body wirelessly and when he chooses, the blades can close or open, he stabbed someone in the stomach, then opened up the blade and made the guy asplode!!! i loved that dream!!!
