My wife is broken :(

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 4:45 pm

I'm not sure if its intended because of who she is or if its a bug but either way I'm annoyed. I married Orla from the temple of Dibella in Markarth, I thought she was pretty. But she never leaves the temple... I WANT HER TO GO HOME... Even if set our house to Markarth she never leaves the temple... I'm unhappy... Her place is in the kitchen... Makin sammiches and such... I want a divorce... Seriously, Whats the point of being married to her... :(

She'll never leave. She's a priestess whose devoted her life to her goddess and will remain there always.

[censored]! She shouldn't be allowed to marry if that's the case.

Despite the funnies, this is a bug where spouses will go back and act like they were never married to you. Possibly meant to be a feature where they can go out and resume what they were doing before you met them so they have "lives", but sometimes they'll act like they never married.

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2224 Worked when I married Mjoll and her boytoy used my house (and I assume the "facilities") all the time.

I think the wiki notes that if you move into the spouse's property, they'll continue in their daily routine married or otherwise, but if they move into your house they stay put. So sounds more like a bug with that particular npc if she's not moving into the player property.

Well, my husband is home with me, but the first time we moved, he stopped cooking for me! No more homecooked meals! What's he doing all day, when I'm out fighting for our supper? GRRRR Men... LOL

Actually that reminds me of a bug that I got too. I used to get home-cooked meals from Ysolda, which I used (I didn't sell any of them). After completing the Civil War quest (where I sided with the imperials), the option of Homecooked meals vanished! In my case, Ysolda remained in 'Breezehome' in whiterun after I married her, and I did not move her to any other home. The only thing that seemed to change to trigger this bug, was the completion of the Civil War quest.

I first moved her into my Markarth home, I THOUGHT it would be convenient for her to be at the temple during the day and home at night.... But the [censored] never came home.... So I moved her ass to solitude! And she never came home!!!!! So I moved to the frigged ice land Windhelm... Since this is where I wanted to live anyway... IT HAS AN ARMORY! Man cave.....and she never came home.... This is what I get for considering the womans career... If you can call it that! She needs to get in the kitchen, I want a sammich...
