People forget the debacle that was the PS3 on launch. It was overpriced, had horrible online features, and tried to be an all in one. No one wanted to spend $600 for the premium PS3 just like no one wants to spend $500 for the Xbox One. I hear several people on youtube talking about the unhealthy economy. Time to change that record in my opinion. The PS4 seems great now but could be a case where they're going full steam ahead now with none left for later in the console's cycle? Maybe they are trying too hard to beat the Xbox One on release that they're putting the best they have out too fast.
People biching about the always online is funny. I really find this one funny. Do you ever run your laptop in offline mode? Have you ever turned the internet off on your current console? Does your desktop not stayed connected to the internet? I mean c'mon, even our cell phones stay connected. "But what if I want to take my Xbox One to a friends house?" Do they not have internet? I mean really. This argument about the Xbox One having to always be online is just stupid.
The Xbox One has a used game fee. Yeah well i am a pc gamer as well and when you buy a game used, 9 times out of 10 you have to buy a new key which cost about the same as the game which is new so this one doesn't bother me so much. I mean I get it, one the appeals of console gaming is that you can game for cheap but lets not forget that both Sony and Microsoft are leaving it up to the developers if they want to include DRM. EA will no doubt try the DRM thing on a few games at first but i have no doubt that several developers are gonna try DRM on consoles. So buying used games will become iffy for sure for at least the first year or so.
Look, I'm not a fan boy. I plan to purchase a PS4 in a year or sooner. Right now I'm going with the Xbox One. No one knows how either console will do. All we can do is speculate, but I have good feeling about both consoles and right now the Xbox One in particular...........................................You may now begin the bashing.
