Wild Card: Side Bets, about the Great Khans

Post » Sun Jul 28, 2013 1:53 pm

Okay, so I've decided to go with Yes Man for the main story, and thus far I've met the Boomers, the BoS, and both Strip families. However, due to my actions earlier in the game, the Great Khan have villified me.To make sure i don't screw anything up or waste a bunch of time, i ask: is it possible to get into Red Rock without the Khans getting hostile? And if not, what should i do?

You MIGHT try a Khan suit, otherwise, either start over or massacre them are your only options.

Or you can do the initial drug quest for the Khans near the quarry. But just if you have allready bottomed out, your faction may be too low to start it :(

Problem is, if he's low rep to the point of hostility, disguises only work on grunts, not named NPCs most of the time. So he kind of borked himself out of the diplomatic side in all this.

Well, do I have to kill all the Khans in Red Rock, or can I just go there? Or can I just kill the leader?

I can't tell you, I've never butchered the Khans. I've always been friendly to them.

I usually tap them.

They were the hired help that enabled Benny to put rounds in my skull. Expecting me to forgive and forget that, is a bit optimistic. Especially since I'm offered little to nothing in compensation. And then there is the drug thing. Enabling the fiends to do what they do, is a bit too pragmatic for my taste. :)

I think you have to kill them all.

I don't fault the Khans, they're the ultimate pragmatists. They do what they have to to get by. It wasn't personal that they helped Benny, he offered good cash, cash that could be used to help a desperate and struggling tribe.

Well, they can hardly blame me for wanting to tap them then. As pragmatists they would rather have to calculate the risk of both doing business with Benny and topping me. Their risk assesment was wrong. On both accounts.

Okay, I went to Red Rock and the Khans haven't tried to kill me yet, despite my low rep and my NCR hat. I'm guessing this is a bug?
