Hey, I just started HH and I love it (SO NO SPOILERS PLEASE!) but when I go to the cave to meet Joshua, I get a wild wasteland notification. Where is the reference?

Two-Bears-High-Fiving says that you should which is a reference to an internet meme.

Two-Bears-High-Fiving is also a reference to the start of Fallout New Vegas. This refers to the fact that one of Doc Mitchell's Rorschach pictures appeared to be two bears high fiving; this however was not a selectable option.
